Phone rings, you answer, voice message comes on and says 'Sorry we missed you! This is FDR calling on behalf of CIBC. Please call us back at 1-855-771-6017 to ensure we know you got this message." FDR apparently refers to a company called Financial Debt Recovery Ltd. It's a legit business in Ontario, but not associated with the telephone number specified.
I did a quick no. check online as I am US based and don't bank with CIBC at all, and turns out it's just a call scam to get you to call the number, so they can charge your line a fee. If you get a call like this, ignore it, and whatever you do, do not call back to avoid false charges being added to your phone bill.
