RIM stocks jumped another 10% today in anticipation of the phone release... buy if you haven't already ^^

As for Apple, I heard they cut down their phone screen orders by a half due to decreasing demands. Their stocks are forecasted to drop by 20% because of decreasing demands and no new products/tech in sight.... start selling!! With Steve Jobs gone, so will apple soon :p He was the brand behind apple.

You only get a BlackBerry for 1 or 2 reasons:
1. Work gave you a slave device to keep you connected to Exchange server emails for work.
2. Your addiction to BBM keeps you to BlackBerry

As for Apple:
1. iTunes and the app library
2. simplicity of the phone.

If you believe RIM can make a comeback then Nokia is an even better bet as it has MSFT backing. If you bought both at their low you would have just more then doubled your $$ with RIM but tripled with NOK.. plus NOK pays a nice divvy.

Nokia has msft backing because the CEO of Nokia - Stephen Elop (a nice boy from Ancaster Ontario) used to work for msft (and some fried chicken place before that) in special projects.

So there is that connection.

That said, from what I understand Nokia does not have the platform that msft needs. Msft would be far better served by going to RIM than Nokia.

As to RIM shares, I hope that they go north because they are a Canadian company and I want them to suceed. Much is going to come down to the BB10, however, if it aint "cool" to own a BB (like it is cool to own an iphone), then the kids are not going to buy it. BB could come up with the best damn product on the market if it doesn't have techno fetish attached to it, it isn't going to sell to the kid market and from what I can see, the kid market is driving iphone.
