So, could Stephen Harper be the illegitimate offspring of Paul Martin and Ann Coulter?Remo said:Mr. Martin's Syria/Lebanon gaffe was pretty fun. The opposition members in the House of Commons went nuts!
It is pretty funny how a man who has been plotting to become PM for the better part of a decade seems so poorly prepared for the job.
Yep. I'd do her.langeweile said:I think she is a babe...
That had to be one of the dumbest things Martin has ever said. He's now taking heat for it.langeweile said:BTW where was your outrage when Mr. Dithers called Syrian occupation troops,..peace keepers.
Interesting theory, but a more interesting one is whether conservatives brush their teeth every day or just alternate days.Cardinal Fang said:I don't think Liberals apologize. They just change the question and give an alternative answer.
*Looks around*
Ok...I may have exaggerated there.
So much for the more globally aware canuks LOLCardinal Fang said:Yep. I'd do her.

Re: Martin 'Ironically' Calls Syrians Peacekeepers, Feb. 18.
The Lebanese community in Canada and across the world is appalled by Paul Martin's statement that: "if the Syrians are in Lebanon, it's because one must maintain the peace."
Mr. Martin's statement is like saying, "Syria is holding a gun to Lebanon's head but we thank her for not firing." He seems to be unaware that Syria has been firing that gun for 30 years and the gun quieted only after it totally occupied the land.
Thousands of Syrian shells have fallen on Lebanese homes and villages over the last 30 years, resulting in more than 100,000 deaths.
Mr. Martin seems to forget the long record of assassinations of anti-Syrian Lebanese leaders and citizens. The list includes two president-elects, political and religious leaders and journalists. This week, former prime minister Rafiq Hariri was killed in a car bombing that most link to Syria.
Mr. Martin's statement is like shrugging off Stalin's occupation of Poland or acquiescing to China's savage occupation of Tibet. It rewards a bloody dictatorship that is in violation of international law.
We expect better from Canada's Prime Minister, and demand an apology.
Elias Bejjani, spokesman for the Canadian Lebanese Human Rights Federation.
