Andrew Wiggins ... .222 .286 .200 .273 are percentages in his last 5 games .. I am not going to say he is going to be a bust but the U.S media sure knows how to hype HS players ... They Hype HS players as the next one every year without any NCAA action on the players reseme ..

Ya man, it's beginning to look like an ordinary, but deep, draft...
Though the Wiggins bust-a-nut hype has been non-stop from Canada and Raptor fans.
"He is the son of former NBA player Mitchell Wiggins and former Canadian Olympic track-and-field sprinter Marita Payne-Wiggins."
Being born a genetic freak is one thing...
Actually translating that to NBA dominance is quite another.
Smart from Oklahoma State and Jabari Parker are NBA ready players. Wiggins isn't. His pedigree helps but in the NBA he will be playing against men. These guys aren't high school push overs that are 4 to 6 inches shorter. He's not ready at all. He will get mauled in the NBA. Best thing for him is to stay in school another year or two, put on about 30 lbs, learn a low post move, improve his free throw shooting. Maybe have a run at a National championship or two - then he'll be ready.
Wiggins still has a very high ceiling. He would be wise to not enter the draft this year and be the undisputed consensus #1 overall pick next year.
I haven't watched that much of Wiggens but from what I have seen he isn't close to being NBA ready. There is no question he has talent but it needs to be refined and developed. If he decides to enter the 2014 draft I think he will be disappointed at where he is picked up. Having said that, the team that gets him, if they have patience, may have the star of the future. If they draft him and believe he is immediately going to carry them to the promised land, I think they will be disappointed.
But then he won't be signed for a tonne of cash and be able to retire at 24 if that's what he wants. It's ONLY about the money he can make right now. Teams are stupid enough to pay an unproven player 10s of millions of dollars so he will max out what he can get without risking an injury while in school and see how it goes. Look at the Heat signing old man Oden after the Blazers were stupid enough to resign him after his first deal was done. The guy has played the equivalent of 2 seasons out of 6. He continually gets interest purely from the hype machine that followed him in college. Wiggins will be able to coast through two contracts easy if he goes top three and then he can fade into obscurity. Ideally, he gets drafted high, develops into the player he is projected to be and then bolts to come home as he hits his prime. Only time will tell.

As long as he's a lottery pick he's got a guaranteed contract (and I doubt he'd drop below 5th).

Yes like most rookies but not most rookies are on cover of SI ... He isn't touted as most rookies ... Kevin Durant was a rookie and didn't put up medicore numbers .
Hopefully he has is just on cruise control cause he knows this is just audition for the big show ...
I have followed him since he was in grade 7 and his NCAA career seems to reflect his high school career .. He doesn't seem to bring it every night ..
True on all points. As I've said before, he has the potential to be an impact player, but shouldn't rush it.
What if Wiggins is Rigging for Wiggins..ie he's not going all out, so he doesn't get picked first, so he can go drop a spot or two and end up with a more established team.... A spot or two is still junk, but maybe it might be boston, or LA...
He should pull a Eric Lindros and or Steve Francis and heck say " I will only play of a Canadian team lol

You can pick him apart on individual flaws, but I would take this kid right now and trust him to run my team. I think there's very few freshmen you could ever say that about."
Ennis is averaging 12.1 points, 5.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.
