What time though...
It is a very doable commute into the city centre to get over to the RL district. I was going to inquire as to when you would be on layover as the district doesn't seem to have a lot of SPs available before midday. Last time I was there in the morning (around 10am weekday), just for a walk, I don't think there was anyone open.wim said:

Service in Amsterdam different than Toronto
If you go to the red light district of Amsterdam, you will see a lot of very attractive ladies. But just keep in mind, the service that you get will not be what you are accustomed to in Toronto.
1. You pay for service, not for time. What we call is clock watcher here in Toronto, will seem like a long lazy session compared with what you are likely to encounter from a store-front in Amsterdam. You will be in and out before you know it. You may want to negotiate a minimum time allotment in advance. Otherwise as soon as you enter the room, the girl will do everything she can to get you off ASAP and get you out the door.
2. The beds are often narrow single beds - not much room. You may want to check out the room in advance. Otherwise you may end up in a narrow bed the girl sitting on top and not much room to manouver.

4. Sometimes you may not even get penetration. -at the airport - just go downstairs... all the way down until you are out.. the train (just like a go train) is right under the airport...
-make sure you allow enough time on your way back to "re-clear" customs, theere are amny other horn dogs doing what you are doing...
-if u get there in the morning, go downtown, get acquited with the city, have some breakfast and around 11.30.. the laides will start coming out... DONT go for the first ones you see.. they get better...

Heading there myself this week
I've been viewing some Amsterdam sites and after much reading, I think I will be very disappointed with the Red Light District in general. Many years ago, it was a huge thrill and I know that I'll still enjoy walking around the area, viewing thru the windows, some of the delights that A'dam has to offer. But this fair city of ours (TO) has changed so much since the days of yesteryear, and I don't think I have been to a city (except for Havana!), that really compares in anyway to what we have to offer here. I could still use some advice though, from anyone who can tell me where I should spend some hours while I'm there. I've been reading about the Prives (Private houses). This seems like the best bet for me. Park 118 seems to be the place of choice. Anyone here that can lend some advice? Any names would be much appreciated!
