Hey
anyone ever have any experiences with Ambu-Trnas? They are a non-emergency amublance service that transports people via stretcher service to and from hospital and nursing homes.

My son recently has had some surgery and cannot sit or be transported in a wheelchair, so the hospital suggested this company. Apparantly, they have contracts with most of the GTA hospitals.

Anyway, when I contacted them the lady on the phone seemed rude and unsympathetic to our situation and just quoted their price, which for a round trip and waiting time would be over $350.00 and she stressed cash or credit up front. I thought she was rude.

Anyway, before booking any such transportation, just curious if anyone has any any experience or feedback about them, or any other suggestions.

thanks

Cost seems reasonable. Never used them myself.

The last time I used an ambulance, I was unconscious and the ambulance was called by a third party. I was shocked when I received an invoice several days later. Ambulance service is only partially covered by OHIP.
