In a van down by the river
Viagra has been touted as the wonder drug for an old problem.
Does anybody has any experience with other drugs? Be it natural or chemical?
I have read some articles of Ginseng and Yohimbe?Any comments on those?

I am asking this for a friend...... ;)

yohimbine is derived from the bark of a tree. It does work but may jack up bp, cause hives etc. It is touted as an aphrodisiac. All the legit RX drugs are NOT APHRIDISIACS....regardless of what their ads say.

Levitra is a good drug too. Cialis cause a lot of musclular pain because it stimulates muscle receptors as well as pde receptors.

Viagra is the oldest. Ya gotta be HUNGRY AND HORNY for it to work. No food with it and it works well. They claim studies of 14 mins from ingestion to erection........barely enuff time to finish watching that sports show you got on the TV

Well I've tried all that has been mentioned, here's what i've discovered:

1) Viagra - was given from a friend who had it prescribed to him (about $15/pill). Like Jacques says, you gotta have it on an empty stomach otherwise you're wasting your money. Made me feel like I was a teenager again, getting hard at just the thought of fooling around. I didn't maintain an erection all day but was able to get it up whenever I wanted for that day.

2) Cialis - a friend brought it from Mexico (converted to CDN $, was about the same as viagra). It's called 'the weekender' and for me, I didn't feel it take effect as fast as viagra but it definitely lasted a day longer than viagra.

Both medications gave me fuller, stiffer erections.

3) Ginseng - you have to take it on a regular basis (daily) and truly, I felt no different sexually. But I did have more energy from day to day.

4) Yohimbe - I would suggest reading http://www.yohimbe.org/ I bought the cheap (actually not that cheap) stuff from GNC (in the US.. it's not sold in Canada) and it had the same effect as ginseng for me... in fact it upset my stomach. If someone could direct us to the true herb supplement with full potency than what has been watered down for the commercial market, it would be appreciated. Again, you have to take it on a regular basis to feel any difference.

The greatest thing I've found for myself was quitting smoking, regular exercise, a balanced diet and lots of rest can help a lot more than spending the hundreds that i have on supplements. But if I had to spend my money, I would go with Cialis for the long lasting effect. :) That's my 2 cents.

viagra cost $10/pill in Canada. Gingseng is not anti-impotence drug. It's primary function is to cleanse your blood of toxins.

Much research has gone into the benefits of Yohimbine. There may be side effects with this drug. However, one can generally avoid the side-effects very easily. Now, for the important part.

Yohimbine has worked for me! This extract is especially good if you are having trouble caused by the use of SSRIs such as Zoloft or Prozac. It also enhances your metabolic rate. Without Yohimbine, I was helpless. Maybe, it's also old age, but I seem to have more intense orgasms, despite a lower frequency of them.

Yohimbine IS available by prescription in Canada. I would be wary of non-prescription stuff! Also, you need to take it for a while, regularly as it acts on your central nervous system and your neurotransmitters.

Before Viagra was available, I was prescribed Yohimbine. I did not see any effect of it.

A lot depends on the individual. Just as there are differences in the response to a particular antihistamine, antidepressant, or antibiotic on different individuals, it is the same situation with other drugs. In addition, as certain drugs take time to reach effectiveness, it also depends on how long you take them.

My point was, it worked for me, so let's not generalise that it won't work for any one else. One needs to try it to see if it works for him/her, and what possible side-effects there might be.

Another point I wanted to make was, stay clear of non-prescription herbal supplements, unless a bona fide medical practitioner is helping you out with them. There are still a lot of 'snake oil' cures out there. My source of Yohimbine is from a reputable (I believe) pharmaceutical company, and through a prescription from my specialist. You have no way of knowing if the dose of active ingredient in a non-regulated herbal supplement is consistent from dose to dose, or if it might be harmful to you.

Also, there are a LOT of drug intereactions possible, so check with a good pharmacist and/or medical practitioner before you take a 'chemical cocktail' that could possible do irreperable harm. I have heart concerns, but Yohimbine was presecribed and the dose approved, and I have no heart palpitations or blodd pressure issues with it.

You need to use what helps you, and try to keep as healthy as possible. Take the necessary care of your body and it will take care of you!

Here
I tried yohimbe once.

It didnt have any effect on my erections or arousal, but it gave me the shakes so bad that the lucky girl used me for a human vibrator for an hour.

Although I will not vouch for the quality of the products, there are Mexican internet based pharmacies that sell "generic" knock-offs of the big 3 potentcy medications at a fraction of the cost. I get the spam every other day in my hotmail junk folder, its something like Mex-RX....

As Shakenbake said, it depends on the individual. I have used Viagra for a couple of year now. Works great most of the time, but, food and booze will dampen the effect.

Last month I tried Cialis for the first time... it was far superior to Viagra for both quality of erection and duration, as well as repeat performances. I find that with Viagra, I get kind of flushed. Cialis has no observable side effects. I've switched for good (at least until they invent the "fountain of youth" pill).

It runs about US$15/pill down south of the border.
Are these drugs cheaper in CAN as well?

If so, I'll have to bring several prescriptions to TO
next time I come.

Don
Don cost is about $115.00 cdn for 8 100 mg pills. A cheaper source of levitation is pictures of Fangsters sister doing Goober.

Politics and Popularity

Perhaps the politicians can help us out with erections!

I once heard that Chretien once remarked, about the latest poularity poll results, "Our poles are up and that's where we want them to be."

He also said that the word "Caucus" wasn't really rude or suggestive.

Oh well,..........

Try "Muse". It is a tiny pellet that you insert in your urethra and does not give you the side effects of Viagra. You may feel a burning sensation for a few minutes. Also you can ask for a prescription for Prostaglandin which is usually mixed with other media. It is administered via injection, must be kept refrigerated and you need to play around with the dosage as you can end up with a four or five hour erection. This may sound great but it becomes very painful.

Prostaglandin....huh? I used to raise and train race horses and I seem to remember the vets giving it to the broodmares to either regulate or bring on their estrus(ovulation)cycle...I also seem to remember that in a high dose would bring on labour contractions in a mare that was already very close to foaling(giving birth). Of course, many drugs have many different uses depending on dosage and effaciency...

My Experience

Viagra - doesn't work at all for me.

Cialis - far superior and same price. Pills easy to split. Half a pill actually worked for me. You can get erections for a couple of days after taking the pill.

I wouldn't give Viagra a second look. According to statistics 80% of Viagra presriptions are never renewed. Game over for vitamin "V".
