Thanks for reminding me of some of those great old TV shows. My top dozen list for all time would consist of:

The Avengers Only the Dianna Rigg episodes and especially the Black and whites.
Secret Agent The predecessor to The Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan
The Prisoner
The Saint Roger Moore before James Bond and not at all like the recent movie disaster.
You Bet your Life Groucho Marx shocking the staid and unworldly 50’s
The Man From U.N.C.L.E
Science Fiction Theatre: Little remembered anthology from 1955 with Truman Bradley.
Star Trek The Next Generation
Jack Paar Classy entertainment for the masses (Me)
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Jeremy Brett bringing to life the classic stories
All Creatures Great and Small The fifties were not anything like that but I can dream.
The Bob Cummings Show A lot of skin for the day even in black and white.
Some day if they keep the quality at its present level "West Wing" and "The Agency" will be part of this list. If they dilute the creative juices they will slip away like X-Files

1. Simpsons - Simply the best show I have ever watched. I can watch re-runs over & over and still laugh out loud at the gags.

Rest in no particular order........

* Beverly Hillbillies
* Barney Miller
* Investigative Reports
* Cold Case Files
* MASH
* Anything that catches my eye at the moment!

Most of the ones listed above, even though they were made when I was really young, I still enjoyed watching the repeats.

What about these:

Welcome back Kotter - I used to always watch that one, they should bring it back!!

Dukes of Hazzard - How could TNN get rid of this, I would watch it anytime I had the chance

Gilligans Island, Taxi, Law and order (the older ones), Newhart esp. Darryl, his brother Darryl and other brother Darryl :D.

Anyone remember Quincy, Magnum P.I., Macguiver, dam I can't believe I know all these shows and I'm only 20!

Of course, originally entitled 'Danger Man' and repackaged for the american market as 'Secret Agent'. Well, whatever the title, the adventures of John Drake were a lot of fun. He was mr. smoothie.

After looking over these other nominees, the only one that might supplant the Wild, Wild West in my top twelve is The Dukes of Hazzard! I am willing to give honourable mention to the Twilight Zone, Hullabaloo, Addams Family, Munsters, Bewitched, My Favourite Martian, Get Smart, Star Trek and Married, with Children.
