advice for Mac and PC webcams w audio

I have a friend (who is moving away) who has a G4 iMac, and will be getting iSight (a Mac integrated web cam with a built in mic). I have the new microsoft HD cam with audio on my PC, and I use Live Windows / MSM . Is there a chat application for the iMac that will allow for hassle-free cross-platform communications? I understand that there is something called amsn for mac, but it doesn't support audio. Would Yahoo be an option?
Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.......

okay, I got the video working for Mac to Mac and Mac to PC but the audio was godawful... big delays and lots of breakup. Could it be feedback from the mic's and speakers?
