Are you a manager, receptionist, driver, booking agent or coordinator in the adult industry?
Do you work in an erotic spa/massage, an escort agency or a dance establishment?
… If so, we would like to hear from you.
We will be in Kitchener from May 5-13 to do interviews. All interviews are confidential and anonymous and we provide $100 in exchange for your time and expertise. We are researchers from the University of Victoria working on a national study of managers, owners, bookers, and drivers in adult industry businesses. We want to hear about your work experiences, your interactions with clients and workers, and your opinions on workplace health and the law.
We want to know:
Who are managers and what are their workplace roles, responsibilities, and experiences?
What skills and knowledge do managers possess that are important to their work?
What factors influence relationships and interactions between managers, clients, and workers?
What are management views on health and well-being at work?
What do managers think about Canadian laws and regulations which affect adult businesses?
More info about the research:
We are part of a large national study which involves several projects looking at various parts of the sex industry including clients, workers, managers, regulators/law enforcement, and intimate partners.
Many thanks for considering this invite and we look forward to hearing from you! We can be reached at rachelph@uvic.ca or 226 791 0287. More info on the project at www.understandingsexwork.com
