When you make a posting, look at the toolbar. Towards the far right, you will see, from right to left, greater than and less than symbols, (< >), a number sign, (#), something that looks like a word balloon from comics, then a small icon that looks a bit like a postcard. Click on the postcard icon to open the Explorer User Prompt dialog box.

The image you want to use must already exist somewhere on the Internet, (ie: it has a url beginning with http://). If you find a picture on the Internet that you'd like to use in a posting, right click the picture, and chose Properties from the shortcuts menu. In most cases, the url of the picture will appear among the information in the Properties dialog box.

The image url can be copy/pasted to your address bar, to see the picture in a Window of its' own, or can be copy/pasted to the Explorer User Prompt dialog box.

The ...[Img] portion of the link that will appear in the text of your message before the reply is submitted is inserted automatically. This procedure works for Internet Explorer and Windows XP. I don't think you can drag-select text from the Properties dialog box with Windows 2000 or less. There may be another procedure if you are using a different browser or a Mac.

If you have a picture that you'd like to use that's on your computer, but not on the Internet, try uploading it to any site where it would have an unique url, then copy/paste that address to the Explorer User Prompt dialog box, as per the above.

Hover your mouse, without clicking, over the other icons in the message reply toolbar to see what they do. A screen tip will appear after a couple of seconds, telling you the toolbar button's function.
