Use uBlock Origin. (not uBlock)
It's on Chrome and Firefox.
Make sure the adblocker doesn't have a whitelist, is open source and non-profit. With AdBlock Plus, certain companies started to pay them off and thus their ads were deemed acceptable, which defeats the whole purpose, as you could imagine.

Put Blokada on my Firestick and it doesn't block many of those annoying ads now polluting Firestick!
Wish there was a better Firestick adblocker.
Ads are really destroying YouTube on Smart TVs and Firestick. You pick any song or whatever on YT and at times get an ad or two before and after every selection you make.
Ads are now even interrupting some long 10 minute, or longer, songs at times!
On my PC ads can still be blocked very well but not on Smart TVs and Firestick.
