A War Scenario with China

Robert Kapan presented a very good analysis on this topic in the June issue of Atlantic Monthly. Unfortunately, the whole article is only available for subscribers. I just bought the magazine from the newstand. A ver good read indeed. Here is the excerpt:

The Middle East is just a blip. The American military contest with China in the Pacific will define the twenty-first century. And China will be a more formidable adversary than Russia ever was.

That being said we can only hope China continues to follow it past historical precedences of non-involvment in world affairs. China has seldom been an aggressor power and for the most part historically just wanted to be left alone by the rest of the world.

Lets hope it stays that way.
