City boss Jerry Lees accused over affairs and bonuses
by Jack Malvern

A City boss alleged to have treated a female broker “like a prostitute” was accused yesterday of having affairs with two other women in his team and then paying them inflated bonuses.

Jerry Lees, a senior executive at Cheuvreux, part of the French bank Crédit Agricole, is alleged to have bullied Rosemarie Corscadden with promises of enhanced career prospects in return for sex. He was also rumoured to have slept with her two female colleagues, a tribunal in Central London was told.

She said she had reason to believe that Mr Lees also had an affair with Ms Port, who she claimed received special treatment from the boss. Ms Port and Ms Pritchard were rivals who were “constantly vying for Mr Lees’s attention and approval”. lol

Ms Corscadden, of Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, said that it was her strongly held belief that she had been treated less favourably than Ms Pritchard and Ms Port as a consequence of rejecting his advances. Stands to reason if the other two were doing him...

The tribunal has been told that Mr Lees repeatedly asked Ms Corscadden for sex, and once begged her in front of a colleague to let him suck her nipples. He propositioned her for at least the fourth time during a weekend conference at a country hotel in January last year, it was said.

Ms Corscadden told the tribunal that she rejected him and felt angry and humiliated by the proposal. She alleged that on the same weekend it was rumoured that Mr Lees had spent the night with Ms Pritchard, prompting a male colleague to joke: “It must be bonus time.

It was also claimed that in 2007 Ms Port was “ecstatic” at being handed a bonus of £121,000, compared with Ms Corscadden’s £74,000 Wow, 47,000 extra for doing the boss - amazing how much guys will tip when it isn't their money lol

Ms Corscadden, who was paid £80,000 a year, said that Mr Lees first propositioned her during a business trip to Amsterdam in January 2005, only a few months after she joined the company. “He stated that I would become very successful and earn great money if I agreed to this,” she said. “I immediately declined and told Mr Lees I did not want a relationship with him. I told him I wanted the conversation to stop. I was shocked and felt extremely uncomfortable. I felt like Mr Lees was treating me like a prostitute.” No more so than his other female staff members

She said that Mr Lees, who was head of a London-based sales team, frequently commented on the appearance of women who worked for him. She said that she felt humiliated when, on a business trip to Monaco in 2007, he commented that she had “fantastic tits” in front of a senior colleague.

Richard Leiper, for Cheuvreux, queried discrepancies between Ms Corscadden’s original handwritten notes and her formal claim. He said her notes said Mr Lees used the phrase “great tits” but her claim used “fantastic tits”. Mr Leiper also queried her account of another incident, in which Mr Lees allegedly made lewd comments at an after-work drink with a new colleague. Mr Leiper accused Ms Corscadden of “embellishing your account to suit you” and described some of her notes as “unreliable”.

The hearing continues.

Hey, I didn't say "great tits" I said "fantastic tits" lol.

Well, she was a stockbroker, so I guess I could see how this encouraged him in his train of thought...
