A Tale of Two Strip Clubs

Tuesday night, I dropped by the Barefax at 7:30. Went through the metal detector, got the usual pat-down, and then I was invited to leave my coat in the coat-check. I could see into the club, though, and it was completely dead. No girs in sight and almost no customers.

I asked the bouncer, "Any girls on stage?" and he said, "No, not likely".

So I let him know I wouldn't be staying and I left.

Today, I showed up at the Playmate at 5pm. There were a half dozen girls around. Two of them certainly met my tastes. I had some great attention from them and left. Also, I chatted with Mitch the DJ who is a very cool guy.

Honestly, I don't know how the 'fax stays open. I know they're busy Friday and Saturday after 8, but is that really enough?

Good to know that things are not so bad at the 'Mate. I'd found things a bit slow on the day shift late last year but this report gives me a bit of encouragement to see what the situation might be like on some upcoming afternoon. Aware that the day and evening/latenight atmospheres can be very different but it's still good to find out that the 'Mate hasn't collapsed entirely.

It seemed like a number of the daytime regulars had departed (for 77) later in 2022 and this perception tended to diminish interest a bit.

A bit surprised that there were as many as 6 girls around at 5 on a Wednesday (if I have the OP's timeline correct) as in some instances the 'dead zone' arrives when the day dancers begin leaving and most night shift girls haven't yet arrived (often 5/5:30 to 7 or so).

Always interested to hear about visits to the 'Mate, especially daytime. Hope to drop in sometime next week to provide a report.

Last time I was there, it may likely made my last strip bar visit after 20 years. Yes this was how bad it was. One note that even topless bars likely show more nudity than Barefax stage dancers. That was around beginning of Januarty. I think about half a dozen dancers on stage while I was there and only one danced nude in the more than an hour I was there. I also took a CR dance which was equaly waste of money. As for Playmates, it was a time that they used to have beautiful young ladies. Those days are good old days some 15 or 20 years ago.
