A little help

I am looking for a certain type of folding screens. They are usually made in wood with small square rice paper type inserts. There are usually 3 panels put together on hinges and they are used to block off an area in room. I can't for the life of remember what they are called, and I would love to pick up a couple.

If someone knows the name of these things and were I might find a couple, can you please let me know. Thanks

You could try Ikea. I think they used to sell them.

Did you try Home Depot? Sometimes they have this type of thing.

Peir 1 Imports, Kitchen Stuff Plus carry them and Winners/HomeSense does on occasion

Good thinking!!! I forgot about Pier 1 Imports and Winners/Home Sense although it is hit or miss there. Didn't think Kitchen Stuff Plus would carry that type of thing.

Another idea is to try costco.ca or Canadian Tire or maybe The Bay?

May not find exactly like the one's with the fine handcrafted products in the link you provided in our area.

Another local store new to our area is JYSK which uses the plain rice paper privacy screens (room-dividers) in it's sale flyer on a regular basis.

By the list of stores already provided I hope you will shop at more the one location as I find product is stocked differently in each location or requires a special order these days (if it's available at all, Zellers-Peterborough advertises product in the sale flyer and they never had or ordered the product for that upcoming sale flyer, you always need to ask, maybe get a rain check, and wait only for them to say they can't get the product at all from the manufacturer, so keep looking until you have it in your hands.)

I used to have room dividers like you describe, I bought them at ikea.
I couldn't find them, but here's a bamboo one that looks interesting for $50.

Update

I found some screens. They are little plain and boring but I got some.

Special thanks to XMouse2U, as I did find them at JYSK, and I got a great price. About half of what I expected to pay, which is always good.

And a special thanks to hal2100, since I know you tried to find some nicer ones for me in TO.
