I was wondering when you send someone an e-mail is there a way that you can find out if they read the e-mail or not? Or could they have read it and are too lazy to respond back.

Not 100% sure but if you put <confirm> in the subject line, MS Outlook will automatically reply back. I'm not too sure if it's when received or read.

If you use MSN Messenger Mail or Windows Live Mail, there is a provision to request a read receipt. However, the reciept may not always be sent to the sender.
