80+ cm?! Yikes!

[Halifax] resembled an ice-age wasteland Thursday as a record 77 centimetres of snow fell on the city by late afternoon. Another 10 to 15 centimetres was expected.

I can't imagine what that much snow in 24h looks like! At least people were warned about it - doesn't seem like anyone did anything stupid like try to drive through this one. Guess it's just an extra-long weekend for Haligonians.
