Gotta stop the gray-train somewhere, somehow. Everyone's stupid cost-cutter is someone's genius waste-eliminater. Take the amputation example: No argument it's dirt cheap; takes no time, in pre-anaethetic dats a good surgeon would have your leg off in under a minute—by hand, no power tools. And there, the infection, complex fracture or whatever's gone and healing get get going. So who's gonna pay for the lengthy surgery and recovery that saves the leg. Who decides that's the train and not the gravy?
