Late this afternoon I visited an MA that I like, currently working at 328 Bronson. She was great as usual. Since my comments in this post will be about the establishment itself, I will refer to her as Mary (not her real name), as I do not want this MA to get mixed into the review.
Sorry, but my comments on 328 Bronson are necessarily quite negative.
I arrived and agreed to a 45 minute session, had a shower and found Mary waiting for me in the massage room. She started the massage, and in what I believe is the usual manner of 328, we had to go through a negotiating session 10 minutes into the massage. It started with the time-worn line, "How much money do you have today?" I don't like this negotiating as it spoils the mood, but it is the way things work in some establishments. This was my second visit so I knew the parameters, and the negotiating didn't last long. The massage was underway after a very few minutes, after we agreed to lengthen the session to 60 minutes (which was dutifully reported to the boss lady downstairs).
5 minutes later I heard the door bell ring downstairs and Mary told me that she expected that she was going to have to cut my session short, to 30 minutes! This she told me is how the boss lady runs things when there is only 1 MA available. Sure enough, a minute later the lady came upstairs and told Mary to cut the session to 30 minutes so that she could accomodate the next customer! (I assume the logic is that 2 times the door fee is better than 1 times the door fee.)
I asked Mary to nicely tell her boss that this was not acceptable, but Mary told me that there was no point arguing, this is how things work at 328 Bronson! But she told the boss lady anyway, and the reply was as expected. I now had 10 or so minutes left in my shortened session, and we were only getting started! Oh I forgot. The boss lady provided me the wonderful option of waiting for Mary to do the other massage (the just arrived customer) and then she would get back to me to finish up. I was to wait 30 minutes in the middle of my massage for the new customer to be treated. The specific words used were "Can you wait 30 minutes while I 'do' the new customer?"
I was not happy and the mood was gone. So I just got up, got dressed, told Mary that I was quite unhappy, and left.
Once in my car, the phone rang. It was Mary, apologising, and telling me that she had prevailed on the boss lady, who was now imploring me (or so it seemed) to come back to complete my final 30 minutes! I thanked Mary, told her that she needs to find a better boss, and kept driving.
Strangest experience I hever had at an MA. At least I only lost the door fee and no more. Do I need to say that I will not be back to 328?
