On the news last night and in the paper this morning they were listing all the supplies that would be needed for the big day.

250,000 hamburgers: four times the height of CN Tower stacked up.
250,000 hot dogs: stretching from TO to Kingston when laid ene to end
1,546 km of toilet paper: stretches from TO to Memphis.

I think they forgot one item:

25,000lbs of pot: Enough to fill a 52ft tractor-trailer.

lmao

If everyone brought 25grams (under legal limit?)....

That's 12,500,000 grams...... (assuming 500,000 people).

500,000 / 8 = 62,500 ounces = 3906 pounds

I can't imagine anyone but the most serious of hard core stoners doing 1/8oz per day. Betcha you're the guy who calculates how many "millions" were taken off the street by a bust...

3000 pounds of pot would go stale long long before it could all be smoked.

interesting mental image.... why not just park the truck upwind of the concert and burn the whole thing? [might actually take the stress and tension in this city down a notch or two]

That not-quite-4000 pounds was for 1/8 each for 500,000 people. I'd be really surprised if there weren't at least that many casual users in the GTA (whether recreational or medicinal.)

In other words, those 4000 pounds probably move through the GTA every week, if not more.

Side note:

At only $500/lb, that is $2M per week going untaxed. GST alone would be $140,000/week just for metro Toronto. Why is the government futzing with decriminalization instead of legalization and LCBO or pharmacy distribution?
