Presumably you know that this is from an almost four year old episode of 20/20, further that Ernest Willis was convicted of rape and is currently serving a sentence of 15 to 30 years in the New Hampshire State Prison for Men.

Further as noted praeteriens at 1:45 "Independent" Baptist Churches do not belong to any Baptist Convention each is a stand alone institution, they comprise less than 15 percent of Baptists in the U.S., less than three percent of the population.

Are some members Republicans I'm sure. Just as I'm sure some Unitarian-Universalists are Democrats.

So what you are saying is that it is unfair to make assumptions about and demand answers from a larger religious group just because of the actions of a few extreme outliers. I am so glad to hear that.
