Never heard of half of them. Never listened to most of them. Couldn't give a shit about any of them.
Same here. In fact I suspect that's the real reason these artists claim they "regret" those songs. Seems like most of them have fallen off the radar and are looking to draw attention to themselves.
Classic rock/hard rock is timeless and will always find new fans. Pop/dance/ rap etc is more disposable and often does not stand the test of time.

Maybe. However the line is ironic and satirical and was never meant as an attack on gays. The song's satirical target is actually the average working man. The lyrics are sung from the POV of an appliance salesman ("we've got to move these color TV's") who is jealous of the good fortune of those girly like glam rock bands that were all over MTV at the time ("money for nothing and your chicks for free").
Rumor has it that the band being satirized was Motley Crue.

Most of these songs are disposable, most of these songs don't have a note of melody in them. Katy Perry is perhaps the worst, vocal histrionic can't cover the fact the her songs are boring. Yes she's attractive, but what will she do when her looks fade.
