10TH ANNUAL HEMPFEST 2008: NORTHERN ONTARIO
Yes that's right Augut 21 - 24 Planetary Pride will be hosting their 10th Annual summer bash - Hempfest 2008 in Northern Ontario just outside Sault Sate Marie. This year we are going to rock the forest with great music, knowledgable speakers, cannabis Olympics and great people like your self. Come join us this year as we Celebrate 10 years of Medical Marijuana in Canada. This will truly be a year to remember and one you wont want to miss.
Thursday night come in and relax and listen to IT a interactive audio / video presentation with a political overtone. Thursday night is Arrival Night, there will not be any early bird arrivals this year. If you do arrive early expect a $20 per person fee. If you are travelling from a distance and find your self in the area, please use a local camp ground and come to the festival on the thursday.
Friday the fest kicks into gear with music and speakers all day with the Opening Ceremonies at 7:30PM then kick back listen to some great music by Life Blown Open from Sudbury Ontario and Wild Turkeys from Goulais River http://www.thewildturkeyoutfit.com/ and Astronomy Cubs from Sault Ste Marie or head down to the river and enjoy some techno sounds from the many DJ's till dawn. But don't party too hard on Friday night because......................
Saturday is the killer day with the Cannabis Olympics , come out and go for Gold at this years games. Featuring 4 Legged Hippy Race, Creek Bong Water Dash, 1 Gram Sprint, Big Bud Weigh Off, Scavenger Hunt and JunkYard BongWars. Then after supper we have the P.I.G. Party and there will be $1,000 in Hempfest Money up for grabs for the best Green Costume this year.
For the third consecutive year we will have the " P.I.G ".
wich means. P = Party people
i = in
G = Green
This means the colour you should dress in that night is obviouslly "Green" .ie: hair,pants,dress,shirt,Your Green Super Hero suits and costume ect.
Hempfest Dollars will be given out for those individual having theme related outfit an or for those that try hard at making the second annual P.I.G night a night to remember.
Prises awarded are given out in Hempfest Dollars wich are 10$ face value.
1st place = $300.00
2nd place = $200.00
3rd place = $100.00
Prises will be awarded after supper saturday night at aproximatly 7 pm.
