Will Smith is reclaiming his throne as the Prince of Bel-Air — but with a twist.

A reboot of the “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” is in the works, with Smith to serve as executive producer, according to TVLine.

The site reports that Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment is in the very early stages of developing a modern-day version of “Fresh Prince.”

There are no details on the show’s premise or characters, but it will reportedly feature a “new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the original spirit of the series.”

According to TVLine, the pitch is close to being finalized and will be shopped around in the next few weeks.

Smith starred on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” for six seasons on NBC, which ended in 1996. The sitcom helped the Grammy-winning rapper launch his blockbuster Hollywood career.

The “Fresh Prince” reboot is the latest '90s-era series getting revived for the small screen, joining “Full House,” "Coach," “The X-Files” and “Twin Peaks.”
