If I see someone here wearing one of these on Remembrance Day I will confront them. Hijacking the memory of soldiers who died during the world wars is egregious.

Canadian soldiers who fought against tyranny and the occupation of other countries would likely support Palestinians in their fight against occupation and genocide. After all, those are Canadian values. Don’t hijack their memory to protect a Zio agenda.

They should pick a day to wear Pro Palestine poppy instead of the same day or timeframe as Remembrance Day.

I got no issue with the poppy long as it's not showing any signs of Hamas and other radicals.

My dad was an officer in the military for over 25 years. I met a lot of military folks growing up. I can assure you that there is a snowball's chance in hell that they would they ever support Palestinian terrorism.

Your father thought resistance in occupied countries against the Nazis was terrorism? Are you telling us he was that stupid?

Whoever came up with the idea shouldn't be doing it to compete with Remembrance Day. That's just dumb af. Pick another week/month.

May 15 is already kind of that for them, so asking if they can just expand it and turn it into a full Palestinian Remembrance day holiday for themselves.

i'd like to think those soldiers who died in the World Wars fought for Canada's freedom.
That includes the freedom to choose what one honours on that day.
50% of Canadians dont even care much about remembrance day or even wear the poppy.
I'd imagine that percentage is higher for immigrants who'd also be more likely to wear the Palestinian poppy. It just isn't part of their history.
All in all, absolutely nothing wrong if one feels a bigger connection to the current Palestinian cause, than with sacrifices made by soldiers more than 8 decades ago. It's just too far off in the past.
That's also multiculturalism for you, which is also a core part of Canada.
