For context, I’m in my late 20s and have been doing this for over a year. I’m pretty good about spending no more than 10% of my income hobbying, so I can only do once a month. Funny thing is I used to feel like I have infinite money, since I’m a pretty cheap guy, but nowadays I feel restricted. I want to get more action, but I’m scared of overspending and nuking my savings.

That is a healthy fear to have. The hobby can be addictive. And spending more than you can afford leads to resentment and gets you in trouble. As with drugs and gambling - “Know your limits, stay within them”. Easy to say, hard to do.

It's a hobby , or sport of hunting the next great provider. Spend the money and have no regrets. Create a fund and once you hit the amount you need for your next endeavor, send it. I saved 5k and went on a real run for a couple weeks. Every Friday I felt like a porn director trying out the new talent. Make sure to do your research. Pick only top tier.

I agree with this statement and self discipline is key in all the habits you enjoy. If you know you have an addictive personality it can turn into a problem, so be aware. One thing I will say, money comes money goes but make sure to spoil yourself when you can you can don't feel bad about it. Life is short!

Try the spa? The rates are lower which means you can see more SPs without overspending.
That's not always the case if you're looking for extras at the spa 😅

That’s very good awareness to have! Especially on an expensve hobby like this. You definitely have to be careful and mindful on it. You got a lot of good advice here. I had the same exact thinking and I’ve only been doing this for 2.5 plus years and I also started in my late twenties. I’ve spent thousands of dollars in that time on many providers. And it’s not even just the sexual intimacy, it’s been the dates and interactions that I’ve spent the most money on. And yes I’ve gone over budget sometimes or even spent my whole paycheque on dates , but do I have regrets? Absolutely not. 99 percent of all the dates I’ve been on were always so magnetic and it actually healed my heart in a way. It also helped me with my confidence so much. Talking to women more, saying hi first, connecting, and making funny jokes without a stutter. I’m very different than what I was 2.5 years ago that’s for sure. I definitely got better at knowing if it’s been way too much and affecting my everyday life. I’m still working on it, but the experiences I’ve had so far are always so great to look back on. Like most things, too much is not good for you. You know yourself better then anyone. Take the time and ask if it’s worth it. If it is make sure you’re comfortable enough to do it. Good luck dear brother!

I’m a quality over quantity guy, so I always go for the well-reviewed SPs rather than spas. Never got the appeals of dates tho. If I’m paying hundreds of dollars an hour I’d rather be doing freaky shit than paying a girl for drinks. I guess if the SP has cheaper rates for social dates then it makes more sense? Also, if ppl I know see me in the wild with a SP, I don’t know if I can explain it away with a convincing lie.

I’m already real good at limiting myself, but it feels like I’m in chains. Part of me just want to break free lol.

Historical data from Statistics Canada shows that the median inflation-adjusted income for young Canadian men (ages 25–34) has dropped by roughly $14,300 over the last 50 years. Real wages for young men peaked in the late 1970s, fell sharply through the 1980s and 1990s, and experienced stagnant-to-modest growth over the last 25 years. This creates a historic "generational flip" where the average young man now earns less than a male senior (65+) for the first time in Canadian history

And what changed between those "good ol' days" when working class folks had spare money and home ownership was more common than today?

Taxes on the richest bastards dropped.

Highest earners (not you and me or small business owners, I'm talking the mega-rich) paid over 60% marginal taxes on the highest bracket of income in the late 1970s (EDIT: I found more info and it's even worse!!) over 80% on earnings over the equivalent of $2 million in today's money. (EDIT: In 1971 it was 80% on earnings over $250K, which is $2 million in today's cash.) Now it's 33% and we wonder why everything is more expensive. We shifted costs from the richest to the working class. Now guys who work a 9-to-5 gotta save up to bang hot escorts monthly instead of making it a weekly (or multi-weekly) routine.

Tax the rich so we can bang more escorts!

I think you are doing it exactly right. 8-10 percent has always been my percentage, you will remember higher-end escorts (the hour or two of sex, not “dates”. Lower-end ladies are so forgettable. We are all different, though. Skip a month and see if you are happier adding that month’s allocation to savings. When you are in your 50, 60s, 70s, etc., you won’t regret what you spent on this when you were younger. They won’t change the rule by then that you don’t get to take it with you.

Japan and China are coming out with amazing AI blowup dolls and KY Jelly is pretty low in cost too.

If you work out the math on a really good doll it should def be cheaper in the long run if you're trying to save more.

These new dolls shout "We save you money and give you nice pussy" not literally of course. That's just a marking campaign.

Yeah, taxes play a role. But there are a lot of moving parts. Peak year 1977 was also when human rights legislation came in, so not sure if that played a role in payroll. But then the big change in the 1980s was the decline in unionization in the private sector. Decline in pensions in the private sector. The switch to the service based economy. Also, outsourcing and automation. Nothing left by that point, except maybe AIDS, food banks(started in 80s), and RIDE programs.
