In your world, people should bicycle from Toronto if they're going to Muskoka, or Ottawa or Sakatoon with some kind of bike trailer for children and luggage and pets.
That's not my world, it's your imagination and/or your zero sum mindset on this topic.

The pain in the ass was trying to make a right on Adelaide with all the pedestrians, e-bikes, and regular bikes backing up the right-turn lane. The good side of it, I had a stream of hot ladies to look at while waiting and waiting and waiting.
Not a mention of the hundreds upon hundreds of single occupant motor vehicles in front of, behind, to either side of, on top and below you.

Zero credibility on this topic.

So you want folks to run a ride-share program with their personal car to be allowed the privilege of driving downtown??

As mentioned numerous times before, zero credibility on the movement of people within the inner core of the city.

Like communauto?
The one that already exists?

You keep proving that its people that don't live downtown who hate bike lanes, the ones that come down once a week or once a month and can't handle it.
But for the people that live here bikes are here, they are faster, cheaper, better for you and take up way less space.

Getting rid of bike lanes to make suburbian types happy is stupid.

Again, reading for you is an afterthought! I have said I don't give a rats ass about bike lanes as long as they do not take away a lane of traffic throughout this thread. Franky, if you can't follow along, you shouldn't reply to my posts.

if bikers want to ride on public roads

they should have a drivers licence or special bicycle licence

to show that they know and understand traffic signs

they should have a registration similar to a licence plate on a car

so we can identify them if they cause an accident and run

Why? Because I enjoy driving a car?
6:32pm now and it's 20 minutes travel time via single occupant motor vehicle northbound on Bathurst St. from Billy Bishop Airport to Bloor St. W.

Ur not credible.

I know, you criticize both sides.

This thread is about Ford's attack on bike lanes, which is limited to two streets in all of Ontario, Bloor and University, the route of his commute to Queens Park.
For most of Bloor, bike lanes have not taken out driving lanes. Other than the 5 hours of rush hour, Bloor has always been in practice 2 lanes of driving, with spots where there are 2 lanes in either direction. In practice, the Bloor bike lane doesn't take out a lane of driving.

LMAO....do you stand on street corners and look into people's cars to see how many passengers are in the cars?

My convo was about the red transit lanes. Try and keep up.

This thread is about the Doug Ford moves, try to keep on topic.
You interrupted my convo with another poster and it relates to congestion and the war on the car. As I stated, I don't care either way about bike lanes, so why do you keep chasing your tail trying to change my mind on bike lanes? Are you ok?

Just trying to stay on topic, squeezer.
Sorry you find that offensive.
