The French are going in too, but their alliance Pakistan and Turkey didn't defend them.

The United Kingdom said Tuesday it will deploy fighter jets to defend Saudi Arabia against attacks by the Iran-allied Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The UK will fly “defensive counter-air missions” using Royal Air Force Typhoon fighter jets to protect Saudi cities and critical infrastructure, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Over the past month, the Houthis have intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabia, launching ballistic missiles and drones at key infrastructure, including oil facilities and airports.

The UK is already providing air-to-air refueling support to Saudi Arabia and has deployed air defense equipment and British personnel to help protect the kingdom, a spokesperson for the prime minister’s office told reporters.

The Typhoons will intercept missiles and drones launched against Saudi Arabia and will not conduct offensive strikes inside Yemen, the spokesperson said.

The conflict has been intensifying since the Houthis announced in July that they would target Saudi shipping in the Red Sea as well as infrastructure inside the kingdom, following a Saudi attack on the Houthi-controlled airport in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. (a Typhoon in the picture)

They have stepped up their attacks in recent weeks, launching repeated strikes on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport. One such strike killed 13 people and wounded more than 300, making it the deadliest attack on Saudi Arabia in more than a decade.

Saudi Arabia has looked for military support from regional and Western allies to counter the intensified Houthi attacks. France agreed to deploy defense assets, including military personnel, and more than 100 American military advisers are on the ground providing intelligence and targeting support under a newly established joint forces command.

Pakistan has forces stationed in Saudi Arabia, and the Egyptian parliament is debating whether to send support after President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi called an emergency session to deploy military assistance to the kingdom.

“The continuing attacks from the Houthis on our ally Saudi Arabia are absolutely despicable,” UK Defense Secretary Wes Streeting said in a statement. “The targeting of the airport in Riyadh in particular shows the lengths the Houthis are going to escalate the situation in the region.”

Last month, the Iran-allied rebel group launched a lightning offensive on Yemen’s western coast, capturing key territory. That included the Bab al-Mandeb maritime chokepoint on the Red Sea, potentially expanding Tehran’s influence over another trade corridor.
Backed by Saudi warplanes, Yemen’s anti-Houthi government ground forces have launched a counteroffensive to recapture lost territory. Despite a heavy airstrike campaign and a large ground offensive, Houthi rebels have retained control over key locations and have continued launching missiles and drones at their adversaries.

At least 53 newly recruited Yemeni government forces were killed by the Houthis in a ballistic missile attack Monday on the southeastern Shabwa province, local officials said. More than 200 others were reported wounded.

The attack was condemned by the US mission to Yemen, which called it a “cowardly attack by the Iran-backed Houthi militia” on Yemenis who had “volunteered to keep their communities and country safe.”

They're likely holding off because of the Midterms and they're already involved with Iran. Rumors going around that Iran will be bombed after the midterms. The US has bombed them for two months in May, the Houthis then agreed to stop attacking ships in the Red Sea.

That is not what happened. The USA bombed the Houthis and after repelling several Houthi attacks on their carrier, they realized the Houthis had them cornered. The only exit for their carriers was to past the coast of Yemen or the Suez. The Houthis were waiting for them if the passed the Yemeni coast, and in the Suez they had no ability to maneuver so they were sitting ducks. Thats why Trump had to agree a humiliating peace agreement which he described as the Houthis capitulating. Meanwhile they kept hitting Haifa until the Gaza peace deal

You're ill informed. The military has struck at least 800 targets in Yemen and killed hundreds of Houthis since March. The Houthis approached the administration on Monday night indicating “they want to stop the fighting,” he said. President Donald Trump announced an immediate halt to U.S. airstrikes after the Houthis indicated they no longer wanted to fight and pledged to stop targeting American and international commercial vessels in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab Strait.

"UK to deploy fighter jets to defend Saudi Arabia against Houthi attacks"

Ya think that'll make a difference? Saudis have more fighter aircraft than the RAF. And a bigger army, and more tanks and more ships and a bigger budget...etc etc etc. Besides MBS & MBZ together with MI6 and CIA have been bombing Yemen forever. And committing war crimes.
Macron is flitting about the Gulf to avoid facing the riots at home. Burnham knows his own polls will follow suit.

Look at the deal, They agreed not to attack US assets and the USA agreed to stop attacking them. But they kept attacking Israel, which was the reason the USA attacked them in the first place. VERDICT USA defeated.

PARIS, France — French and British air forces have for the first time staged a joint exercise simulating a nuclear strike, the countries’ defense ministries said in a statement Friday.
The exercise, codenamed “Rummy” and which took place on Tuesday, involved RAF Typhoon fighter jets alongside French Rafale aircraft over the Mediterranean Sea, it said.
The exercise was conducted in compliance with security procedures, did not involve any actual nuclear weapons and was aimed at enhancing coordination between Western Europe’s two nuclear powers, the statement added.

After taking off from a base in northeastern France, “the French Rafales, escorted by RAF Typhoons, conducted a simulated nuclear strike,” it said.
The exercise came as tensions remained high between NATO powers and nuclear-armed Russia some four and a half years into Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

France’s Defense Minister Catherine Vautrin noted that “possessing independent nuclear forces does not preclude coordination.”
The joint exercise with Britain showed “our nuclear forces demonstrate that they can contribute even more significantly to the overall security” of NATO, she added.

Quoted in the French-language version of the joint statement, UK Defense Minister Wes Streeting said the exercise marks a “new chapter” in the relationship between Britain and France on nuclear defense.
“This exercise demonstrates the depth of our partnership, the credibility of our deterrents, and our determination to remain united in the face of emerging threats,” he said.
