Was pissing in a public washroom, through my peripheral vision , dude is walking up to urinal right next to mine while looking at his phone. I'd expect him to put away phone in back packet and take care of business, but NOOOoooo, he starts pissing into urinal while engaged with his phone. He then zombie walks out of washroom without washing his hands!

Which one of you guys is this????

Not guilty. I don't own a cell phone, and I don't want to. I rarely communicate with anyone by telephone, and I wouldn't want anyone to be able to get in touch with me when I'm out of the house. What's immediately urgent to them isn't to me.

I see this at work ALL THE TIME. I think I posted this.

This post has been edited at 9:24pm - BTW this also happens in the WOMEN's bathroom at my work place. Yes I asked one of the mature females about it when she caught us talking about it among men. No funny ideas clowns.

Did you have a hobby phone when you were active?

Once I observed a co-worker turn the water taps on and off after taking a piss, but he didn't get his hand wet.

Another time I saw a quarter in the urinal, and when I went back, it was gone. The men's washroom was within sight of the reception desk, so I put a dime in the urinal, and asked the receptionist to call me after whenever anyone came out of the washroom, and I'd check to see if the dime was gone.

On a similar note, John Madden told this story when he was the host of Saturday Night Live, (season 7, episode 10, January 30, 1982):

Ted "The Mad Stork" Hendricks was combing his hair above the toilet when he accidentally dropped 35 cents into the toilet bowl. Ted stared at the money, and as Madden put hit, 'his eyes looked like the elevator didn't go all the way to the top floor'.

Hendricks reached into his pocket andpulled out a wad of bills. He then he took a fifty dollar bill, crumpled it up, and threw it in the toilet. When Madden asked him why he did that, Ted said "You don't think I'm sticking my hand in there for thirty-five cents, do you?".

I'm still active*, and no. I'm able to make other arrangements. I usually book through e-mails, and I don't mind providing my landline number. It can be verified using 411(dot)ca. I'm not interested in having a cell phone solely for hobbying. I needed help from a friend to sign up for Discord** because part of the account confirmation involves receiving and entering a numerical text message code.

**Discord is a chatting app used primarily for online gaming. It's necessary to have an account to enter Steam RISK tournaments. I won't be using it for anything else.

*Probably more active in the near future, because before the end of this month I'll have received all of my Government pensions, backdated to April 1, plus one year of income tax rebates - I forgot to file for 2013.

Imagine a conscripted army of Gen Z's starring at their phones in boot camp; several of them crying because the drill sergeant hurt their feelings and one of them saying 'You can't talk to him like that'.

You have a nice friend and must be close by. My friends would tell me to upgrade.

Also 2013 taxes, Anything after 7 years pass is void, that is what I been told.

I didn't file my taxes for 2025 at first. The reason is because the Turbotax/Ufile required for me to use Windows 11 - talk about control.
So CRA asked me to or sent an email in August to file my taxes. Yeah sure.
Then they finally used Canada Post to file in September. Yeah sure.
Then Finally in October I start doing it and they called me and left a voicemail which Virgin only give me 30 seconds - Virgin wants me to upgrade.

So a friend told me he uses Studiotax I filled it out, since I was past the 20k income limit I had to pay online ( it's free if below 20k). Well I paid 20cdn. Then I CRA a netfile submission. Now CRA owes me 0.97 cents.

What a funny story.

I hate completing tax forms. I know it's easy, but I don't enjoy doing it. Back in the day I had a job which was 'straight salary', and from five years of returns filed all at once, I received a total of eight bucks refund.

I have a Muslim accountant who has a small office in the basement of a grocery store. Paying him to do that work for me is one of the few instances where I hire someone else to do something I could do myself.

I have both land line and cell. But the cell I rarely use, I pay 15 a month I found it good to have as emergency or if I have to look up something. Last month it came very handy when I blew a tire and was able to call CAA and change it for me.

I do a lot of work from home on computer, and I'm often gaming online late at night and in the early morning. I sleep at very odd hours. When I'm out of the house, I'm also off duty.

I speak to a lot of people face to face. There are more than enough people to interrupt my face to face conversations. I don't know any people who would call me at home to say 'Sup?'.

I write in full sentences, so sending or receiving texts is not for me. I check phone messages about once a year, because the people who call my home number to speak to me don't leave messages; they call back later if I don't answer. I don't like chit chat conversations.

I write often on TERB forums, but I write more in TERB private messages and e-mail, because that's the way I communicate most effectively, by sending or receiving information in packets which can be processed when convenient for both the sender or the receiver, and the information doesn't need to be retained in memory; it can be referenced when needed.

For my particular lifestyle, a telephone is an seldom-used appliance and a cell phone would be an annoyance. This is completely different from how most other people communicate, but that doesn't concern me.

Same as me. I pay $ 200 a year for smartphone service and rarely use it but it is good for the car or if the VOIP phone is down. The thing is, what to use for a recovery number for outlook?
I dont' think there is an ability to receive an SMS verification code for outlook, gmail, yahoo, etc. to the VOIP phone. It seems everything is pushing us to use the smartphone. By the way, my work e-mail address may not be available soon as my job is up in the air. Also, love my non smart TV.

We may have been in the men’s room at the same time. I witnessed the exact same thing in Eaton Centre near the food area on the Queen Street side. I walked by one of food vendors going towards the fountain - saw the guy who was scrolling at the urinal and never washed up.

What's worse is when they are talking on the phone while pissing or shitting. Imagine if they were video chatting while at the urinal. Fuck...oh yeah...and wash those fucking hands too! (Can't forget that part)

I was at a Leafs game about 2 years ago having a piss. Buddy next to me shows up facetiming his dad while pissing away. He's all like "Yeah dad Leafs are down 3 goals, looks like we might not make it to the playoffs again"

Talking all casually too! I turned over and was like is it suppose to burn when you piss? He had the audacity to call me a freak.

My God! Hypocrites are everywhere!!

Praise the lord a miracle occurred. Some doc was taking a shit in the stall behind me, came out and was like here take these for 7 days. I told that sum bitch doc "I ain't touching anything unless hands are washed."

I went back home that night and told the story to all my buddies while we passed a J around. They said Jesus has been watching over me all these years. Amen!

I miss the days when you could play hockey with your stream carefully aimed at cigarette butts in the urinal. It took some skill to separate the tobacco portion of the butt from the filter within the volume allotted, but it took more skill to get the filter to stand up straight in one of the holes in the blue target array.

Skills like these are not taught in schools anymore, since smoking has been abolished in indoor public places. Now they're teaching kids to pee like a woman, because too many guys piss like Shaq shot free throws.

When you see guys coming out of a public bathroom, glance at the toes of their shoes, for wet spots. Their presence can be the result of standing too far away from the urinal, (an error easily corrected), or the guy has a small dick, (not so much).

I remember in grade 5 my piss aiming game stepped it up big time. I got a friend to hold the door open while I was pissing. The teacher and other classmates were lined up outside.

Got suspended for 3 days. My defense was "But did I miss?" Apparently beyond reasonable doubt came into the picture. That's when I knew justice was served.

Oh and btw what about pissing in the bush and stuff or at the park as a kid even while playing stuff like street hockey. Did we wash our fucking hands???? No! We kept on playing! I haven't got a cold in years and stuff. Then someone would show up with donuts or something and we'd fucking eat them...WITH OUR UNWASHED HANDS!
