Scopolamine is a big deal in Medellin. There are even reports of tourists being approached on the street and offered "a spray of cologne" by a sketchy local. The spray is 20% cologne and 80% scopolamine. When the tourist blanks out and goes gaga, he is steered into a back alley and beaten and robbed.
I've heard this one too, but it seems it's not as potent as it is claimed to be on social media. I'd be more worried about the spiked drink. A hottie can easily distract a hard dick, and boom, you're out.

"Now, according to reports, the drug has been used on “dozens” of victims in Paris, and three people have been arrested. The Daily Telegraph suggests that two women had encouraged their victims to breathe in the drug, then got the victims to take them home where they stole money and jewellery.
“You get these scare stories and they have no toxicology, so nobody knows what it is,” says Val Curran, professor of pharmacology at UCL’s Clinical Pharmacology Unit. “The idea that it is scopolamine is a bit far-fetched, because it could be anything.”
Dr Les King, chemist and former forensic scientist, agrees. The idea that someone could become zombified after someone blows powder into their face “seems pretty unlikely for a start”. There is no evidence it is being used in Europe, he says. “The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction has never had any mention of scopolamine being used in this way.”
I watched that youtube vid a few weeks ago as well, that scope stuff really scares me away from going down there. Here is another one I recently watched where a guy tried to set up a life there but just couldn't get past these issues. Even tried to be safe taking an Uber instead of a taxi and the driver blew some white dust in his face while he was in the back seat and he was passed out for a long time when he made it back to his room. Scary.

If you just want to go down to Colombia and get laid, there's no reason to bring any girls back to your room in my opinion. If I decide to go down for a 3rd trip, now with the demise of the Medellin Mansion hotel which vetted all the girls (and therefore was pretty safe bringing girls back to rooms under the watchful eye of hotel security), I would do only daytime casas (brothels) and night time strip joints where they have onsite rooms. I would not bother with bringing any girls, especially from Parque Lleras back to my room.

Me and a couple of friends were planning on heading down to Colombia this November. This thread has been very helpful! One of my buddies who is a non Spanish speaker is trying to get laid LOL - I hope I can protect him by using this info. this “park” everyone is talking about seems to be the major danger zone.
