Anyone else noticing OF links and no number on a lot of LL ads?

The cops are doing this thing this poorly, and caught a few creeps. How many more would they have caught with good quality work? My point stands; they should stop wasting our hard-earned money, by upping their pathetic game.
I’m sure these operations could be run better — and I’m the last person to clap for the police. But instead of treating 11 arrests as a win, you’re defending the idea of turning it into a game and trolling agents. How is that helpful?

Without actual insider knowledge, calling these fake ads a waste of money is pure speculation, especially when the results are sitting right there for everyone to see. Plenty of internet creators catch predators with deliberately obvious bait, and it works. The old Dateline “To Catch a Predator” stings did the same thing — the bait was often blatant once the age came up, yet men still showed up. I guess some people are narcissistic and creepy enough to bite anyway. TBH, taking pride in spotting police traps and playing cat-and-mouse with them for entertainment raises some red flags of its own.

Playing armchair detective is easy. Making actual arrests, not so much. It’s entirely possible the ads are kept obvious on purpose so the cases hold up better in court. Celebrating people getting caught for trying to exploit minors seems like a better use of energy than defending those focused on how “pathetic” the cops look when we finally see them doing their jobs.

Without actual insider knowledge, calling these entrapment ads a waste of money is pure speculation, especially when the results are sitting right there for everyone to see. TBH, taking pride in spotting police traps and playing cat-and-mouse with them for entertainment raises some red flags of its own. * Again, that's not what I said. My criticism was of the horrible quality of their work. Which is valid in may areas of police work, not just this one. How many arrests have the been in the Paradise Spa window case? *

Playing armchair detective is easy. Making actual arrests, not so much. It’s entirely possible the ads are kept obvious on purpose so the cases hold up better in court. * please tell me that it is not your argument that the police should stick to busting the stupidest pea dough files, and let the harder cases slip. That argument doesn't help either. The police are using our tax dollars for this. They should do the hard work. * Celebrating people getting caught for trying to exploit minors seems like a better use of energy than defending those focused on how “pathetic” the cops look when we finally see them doing their jobs.

I think that you and I are in violent agreement, with the only difference being over our reaction to the laughable quality of their work. And as for holding the police accountable, public humiliation in a forum like this is effective.

what a fucking snowflake
OK, tough guy… so what’s your plan if the police stop making the ads blatant, go sneakier, and you get stung thinking you’re booking someone young but legal? Or does that only happen to other people?

The ads and the replies are pathetically obvious on purpose. It’s called proving intent. Or should we just risk prosecuting anyone who mistakenly answers the wrong decoy?

Here, I used my snowflakey liberal arts degree to do some research:
https://www.cbc.ca/news2/interactives/sh/Z9xYpkTjVq/human-trafficking-canadian-girls/

“The plan is to quickly inform anyone who reaches out that she is actually 17. In order to avoid accusations of entrapment during a criminal trial later on…”

It's very simple: OF has rules against conversations about escort's activities. So, if a Content Creator discusses any potential meeting with a client, this Creator is at risk to loose his/her account and all gains not yet paid.
So, when you see an ad on Leolist, with the only way to contact the provider being an OF link, you can be sure it's a scam.

Some real providers, on top of their phone number and website, will ad their OF page... that's ok, but don't contact the OF link looking for services, they won't answer you there.

Now, unfortunately, scammers are also everywhere and get always better at their scams. It's only a matter of time before they find a new way to scam you.
What's particularly concerning is that I've actually tried to contact LeoList and EscorteIntime about these fraudulent listings. I took the time to explain the scam in detail to moderators as arranging meetings through Onlyfans violates their platform policies, requesting that these fake profiles be removed. However, I suspect that since these scammers are paying monthly subscriptions to have their profiles featured and there are dozens of them, the platforms are tolerating them because removing these ads would represent a significant loss of revenue. I find this very damaging to the credibility and seriousness of these sites.

Really? a site advertising prostitution you find uncanny?

By now you should know that LL and E are not to be trusted and be more aware of your surroundings on the net. The internet is not God and everyone must act goody two-shoes .

Get with the program. It's about the money.

I completely understand the issue of potential fraud on these types of platforms, and I'm taking all necessary precautions to avoid falling into those traps, however, I think I might be too soft-hearted, as I would have at least expected these sites to do the bare minimum to maintain the seriousness of their platform at the very least, not encouraging such practices...

It's true that the online environment isn't perfect, and everyone needs to be vigilant but that shouldn't completely absolve platforms of responsibility especially when they know that fraudulent profiles are generating revenue for them..

Leolist does not care as long as the money rolls in and nobody sues them.

LL is a fuckin' graveyard, nothing but mostly scammers and mid-tier talent.
At leas in Ottawa for the most part, going through LL is like shopping for a nice fit at winners or searching for a nice item at a thrift shop.
I might as well save my money and use my vacation time in LATAM, Thailand or some shit.
