Name the Formula 1 team.

RAM Racing
Nope.

This is a 1981 car. RAM competed as an F1 team in the 1976, 1977, 1980, and 1983-85 seasons, the last three with their own chassis.

I will say that your answer is very close to being correct, but not close enough.

You may answer this question again - the no second reply to one of MY questions rule after a
red reply from me only applies to the General TV Trivia thread.

"Uncle" Jacques Villeneuve unsuccessfully attempted to qualify for a Formula 1 Grand Pix three times. Other that at the circuit named after his brother, at what other circuit did he drive an F1 car in official practice and qualifying?

The March 811 was built by March for customer RAM Racing to use in F1 in 1981. The production version of the car was too flexible for the forces being generated, and a complete redesign by Adrian Reynard was introduced for Derek Daly at the British GP

The car pictured above IS a March 811. The official team name in 1981 was Guinness Rizla+ March*, with the livery shown in the image. RAM was not a chassis constructor before 1983.

It's a technicality, but I decided that RAM was close, but not close enough. With this additional information, you now have provided enough for a
correct.

*March would have been sufficient.

Pete Dawkins won the Heisman Trophy in 1958, but was not selected in the NFL Draft because he was committed to a military career.

Two other Heisman Trophy winners were also not drafted by an NFL team, both having won sometime in the past 35 years.

Name either or both.

Who was the last NFL kicker to score a point without a shoe on his kicking foot*?

*He doesn't consider himself to have been a 'barefoot' kicker, because he had thick tape covering much of his foot, but his toes were bare.

After winning his first two decisions in the 1992 season, he had a combined Won-Lost record of 1-30 for the rest of 1992 and all of the 1993 season.

What's his name?

Answered correctly by downbound123.

@tml : sometimes I wonder if we have a lot of new players in the trivia threads, or maybe one guy uses a new handle every time he logs in to TERB because he gets off on being off his duck.

I think you may be onto something. It goes against the spirit of the thread. It would be like Matthew Schaefer changing his name and trying to win the Calder trophy again.

No, I think a whole lot of handles will be tried for 86th place with two points if I ever get around to tallying the scoreboard.

Competitive players can find out their score fairly easily by using Search -> This thread -> [their handle] in the search field and my handle in the 'By Member' field.

tml score sample.png

Each Correct is worth two points, and there are no deductions for Nope or Too Slow replies, (those are just 1 point each for me).

This method will yield some 'false positives' from when I mention a handle for a reason other than to confirm a correct reply, but the portion of my post which will display in the search results should make those easy to identify without you having to click the associated link, most of the time.

tml sample.png

That's how I would do it, to tabulate the scoreboard for other players. I'd use a different method to determine my own score, (1 point for each
Nope, Too Slow or Stump).

I think everyone else' points won are up to date, but I'm way behind in collecting
Stumps. In some cases, the question will remain unanswered forever, because I can't remember the correct answer, and I don't have the time to find it. My Pictures folders are not well organized. I don't get a point for Stumps unless I post the correct answer.

This score tabulation method won't work for @unassuming 's questions, because he doesn't mention who posted the correct answer, but his questions are a separate type of game. His are 'the field vs the question', and mine are an individual competition of each player playing against each other and against me at the same time.

For each handle playing, I'm sure there are multiple spectators who just read the thread to acquire trivial knowledge. The linear nature of this board would allow someone to test their knowledge of Sports trivia in an amateur/ theoretical matter by starting at page 1 and seeing which questions they could have answered correctly, if someone else hadn't beaten them to it. It's only a few weeks since @Pretzelmaster answered a Formula 1 question that had been on the board for about five years.

When a player shows me 'too much knowledge' in a specific category*, I'll frequently challenge them with more difficult questions in their area of expertise. Other times I'll stop asking questions in a category, because I realize I'm not going to get ANY Stumps. Hence, it's unlikely that I'll ask more 'Name the dinosaur' questions in Trivia-o-Rama because @Valcazar gets all of them.

One benefit of the Trivia threads is that it lets TERB members know which other members are knowledgeable in specific subject matters. For example, @bluebro69 knows a lot about rock bands, The Beverly Hillbillies and The Flintstones, @MissCroft remembers the names of Jerry Seinfeld's one episode girlfriends, etc.
