The walk outs are very performative, but they do send a message. When Trump spoke, only a few delegations left....However, those that were there basically ignored him. There were low-level aides shuffling paper or playing on their phones. Zero applause when he said his MAGA rallying cry bullshit and paused for a response. It was actually kind of funny and sad at the same time. The contrast to when Obama, or even Biden spoke is very different.
