That's been the consistent message for the last 4 years from some people.
While the message has been consistent it is inconsequential so far.
None of those people would back their message with real action like
joining the war on Putin's side to fight for Russia like real men. They
certainly won't want to reward Putin any money to carry on the war.

So what is the not so consistent message from the pro-Ukraine crowd
to Zelensky?

Fight to the last Ukrainian man standing?

Fight to the last combat-fit man?

Fight to the last male first before their women take over?

I have no idea what you think you are saying here.
Noone who is saying "Ukraine should just surrender" is willing to fight for Putin?
So what?

No one who is saying we are wasting money on aid to Ukraine
to carry on the war is willing to make sacrifice for Putin like
the pro-Ukrainian crowd is for Ukraine. You can bet the chance
of me volunteering to fight on Putin's side to be zero. It is more
likely I will see squeezer and other fanboys of Z end up dying
to defend Kyiv someday.

Do you struggle to buy food or have a place to sleep because of sending financial aid to Ukraine?

What you said might hold some water 1 or 2 years
into the war. By now it is clear that the cause is better
for people to believe in only. I am fine with people
continuing to believe in the cause so long as we
are not sending money to Ukraine and troops to
die there.

oil$gas has loyalty only to petro states, with an occasional pretence that they care about issues like the climate or human rights.
They will side with Putin over Ukraine, trump over america, MBS over the middle east and on and on.

You are simply a selfish, pro-Russian narrow minded person, obviously without children or values that include democracy, civility and global stability.

Russia has forever been playing the victim and lashing out proactively against anyone who they feel is any sort of a perceived threat to them. They are fundamentally weaker than they project and have a long standing strategy to destabilize and weaken the rest of the world from within the other countries own borders and people. Putin himself and on behalf of Russia has declared the West as their enemy for many years. As a country that borders Russia to the north, and is the one country that buffered Russia and its LONG TIME enemy (United States) Canada is making a good investment in our own interests to facilitate the defeat and failure of present day Russia.

This is a Russia warmup war to get really good at building their innovation engine. Which is ominous.

NATO is playing a dangerous gamble for not learning from Ukraine and upgrading their military. It's a completely different type of warfare and the west is not prepared for it, but Russia is learning and it's scary what they could do if the west keeps sleeping.

Canada's investment in helping is a pennies on the dollar investment in defending ourselves from Russia. As a staunch supporter and ally of Ukraine Canada has entered into a cooperative venture with Ukraine to become a drone developing and manufacturing country WITH UKRAINE SHARING THEIR BATTLEFIELD KNOWLEDGE with Canada. This will save us billions in defence spending to defend ourselves in case of an attack from the US or Russia, or an alliance of these two countries that have declared Canada as an adversary. One of which has already made threats they are both trying to hurt us economically and an interest in annexing us into their country. Just like Russia is doing to Ukraine.

All of the above is just me blabbering as I know you will continue to stick to your predictable Vatnik schtick.

People who support the Ukraine war believe in a cause unlike
those not on your side:

They believe in a cause and you don't?

Truth be told I actually agree with you that people like
me indeed don't have a cause. In saying what I said in my
previous post I presumed the cause of people like you
is believed to be noble and worthy of giving away billions.
In my view that noble cause in the mind of the pro-Ukraine
crowd is bogus. I don't have a cause. I just believe wanting to
put an end to the idiocy of funding a proxy war to fuel a regional
conflict thousands of miles away is common sense.

With all the other world conflicts Trump has created, Ukraine barely makes the news. The people who do not support Ukraine are disgusting. They are the same people who would watch a woman get raped and beaten and do nothing saying it's got nothing to do with me
More like a woman pointing a gun at a man then complaining she got the crap beaten out of her.

So then you think drunk driving should not be charged? How about getting into a fight when drunk?

At what point is responsible for your actions a factor? Its a choice to drink alcohol, not a license for bad behavior.
When both parties are drunk why is it only the guys that that are held to account for consent. Maybe they also got raped.
