Tour Of Tokyo Soaplands
I've been a fan of Thai soapy massages and when they introduced nuru, I just had to try it and on my last trip to Thailand, I did and loved it even more than regular soapies. I heard that nuru actually started in Japan so when I went there for a week as the final part of my month long Asia trip (other country this time was Indonesia - trip report posted), I knew I just had to try it there to compare how it is with the nuru sessions I had in Pattaya and Bangkok. When I got there, I was greeted by two Filipino receptionists who obviously spoke to me in English. But instead of a lineup, I had to choose from a monitor so not being able to see the available girls in person first, I chose to be conservative and selected one of the mid priced girls for only 30 minutes at 23,000 yen or about $200 Canadian.
The girl turned out to be chunkier than the one in the photos and kind of average looking in my opinion. For a 30 minute session, I did not get a nuru session but at least it was gfe for an okay but not that great session. Maybe I should have done a longer session to get in a nuru but I was on a layover and had to get back to the airport so GFE Soapland did not turn out as good as I had hoped.

I found all three of these soaplands which were all within several minutes walking distance of each other but decided to walk into Y-Shirt first since it was the one most reported on.
This time all the front entrance staff were local men in white shirts. They led me to a waiting room and I guess they had the one who spoke the best English come to present the options to me. First they served me a cup of tea which I appreciated. Then he showed me five cards with photos of girls and I selected one of them for an hour session at 26,000 yen or $233 Canadian. I confirmed with him that this is the final price with no other extra charges and includes both nuru and sex.
The girl who greeted me was better looking than the one I had at GFE Soapland but still not what I would call slim. Just a few more pounds than what is represented in the photos (but we usually get that in my home territory of Toronto too). Much like with the girl at GFE Soapland, this one spoke enough broken English to get by with our session. A nice gesture is that she asked me if I needed to use the toilet first which I did since the session rooms did not have a toilet.
She started me on this unique looking stool where she washed my private parts and then took me to the tub for an fuller bath wash. Then she prepared the inflatable mat for the nuru session which was great. Her techniques were a bit different from what I experienced in Thailand as some I never experienced before. One time she was massaging both one of my feet and my pecker at the same time with her mouth and hand. To this day, I was not able to figure out whether she had her mouth on my foot or my pecker!

Fortunately I prepared by finding in advance two other backup soaplands, Nice Lady and Nice Day, both foreigner friendly and within minutes walking distance. All three of these Yokohama soaplands in my short list charged the same one hour rate at 31,000 yen or $278 Canadian. When I got to Nice Lady, the guy (also in white shirt) told me that they had only one girl able to serve foreigners available and this girl was actually at their sister location Nice Day. I agreed to this since it was my last opportunity to session in Japan and they had one of their younger staff guys walk me to Nice Day with an umbrella since it started to rain.
Once at Nice Day, another guy there led me to a waiting room and served me a tea too. The girl that met me for my session again was slightly bigger than what I prefer but her English was perhaps the best of all the Japanese girls I met. Again I had a nuru session with fs and finished with hj but this time in the bed after she washed and dried me up after the mat play. She was super cautious in not having me slip on the mat which she claims has happened to people before. But at the prices I paid for these sessions, I think I should have gotten a live lineup like in Thailand and Vietnam since they photoshopped all the girls quite a bit. Now the soaplands I chose to visit were sort of on the lower price range as far as foreigner friendly venues goes. There are other soaplands charge much higher rates so I'm not the one to tell whether the quality of girls would automatically be higher at those places. All I know is even at the low end rate soaplands, I felt that I was already paying a lot more compared to what I would pay in southeast Asia plus I would get opportunities to see the girls in person first. I didn't want to turn away any girls I selected by photos at these soaplands since I didn't want to piss off the staff - who knows, maybe they are all connected with Yakuza.
Disaster At Tobita Shinchi In Osaka
In addition to the Tokyo soaplands, I visited the largest red light district in Osaka called Tobita Shinchi. This is an area of several laneways with lots of shops where each one has its entrance completely open to the street with a single girl sitting in the middle and in front and off to the one side of the entrance is an older mamasan. The mamasan would invite you over if the girl is foreigner friendly.
I already did prior research about Tobita Shinchi knowing that sessions would not be gfe, would likey be quite rushed and there were no showers with the girls using just wipes. Sessions on a card would indicate they were available as quickie 15 or 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 and 60 minutes. I had no intention of pulling any girls here based on this intel but just wanted to walk through it as a tourist.
