That doesn’t seem like a claim he would make, considering it doesn’t make him look good at all. It only portrays him as a burden by wasting the firefighters’ time and energy that they could have spent rescuing other people. Now if the made-up story was that he was the one hauling victims out, that would be something his egotistical self would brag about.
