There is an old saying: "The first casualty of war is the truth". We have seen a lot of misinformation in the current "Game of Thrones" taking place in the Middle East and in Ukraine. Mainstream media like CNN and BBC are hit and miss - some events are reported quickly and accurately, while others get little or no coverage, or come with quite a bit of bias, or they feed us straight propaganda. So I look at independent media like Breaking Points, Meidas Touch, Mario Nawfal and The Young Turks. Not that they do not have their own bias, but they seem much more reliable than the mainstream outlets, and they seem more concerned about relating the truth as they see it than audience capture. Other outlets, be they mainstream or independent, seem mostly to be amateur, AI generated, stupid or blatantly dishonest.
Basically, I have come to trust only a few outlets, journalists and pundits. I trust Breaking Points the most. Often times they talk about things that do not interest me, or offend me, or give opinions that I disagree with, but I cannot fault their integrity or journalistic rigor. And they have proven themselves right on some things I was just wrong about - e.g. I thought Biden, for all his faults, was basically a decent guy. I now see him as a genocide enabler and an establishment shill. As far as pundits go, my biggest disappointment is Michael Cohen, who went from scumbag to hero and then back to scumbag. My current favorite news media figure at the moment is Dr. Robert Pape who is warning the world about the "escalation trap" that the US has fallen into.
