Why are some women supporting Lindsay Clancy?

Crazy still no verdict. I'm kinda weirded out it's taking this long. It should be a requirement to let all jury members watch 12 Angry Men before the start of any trial. Those men cut to the chase and slammed a verdict with professional time.
The three men on the jury are trying to convince the nine women on the jury to exercise their common sense.

I hope those nine women are mature and not the ones that ask their hubby what dress they should wear between two and then go with the one he didn't pick.

"The jury in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial indicated they are deadlocked and cannot come to a unanimous verdict, a scenario that could lead to a mistrial.

“After many hours of deliberation, we are unable to come to a unanimous decision,” the note said, according to Judge William F. Sullivan.

The judge sent the 12-person jury back to deliberate further and try to break the impasse." - CNN about a minute ago.

Won't be shocked if it's a mistrial. Either way she should get life behind bars or at some hospital. She doesn't deserve to be in the public. It took her about 6 mins to strangle on of her kids to death. In total about 15mins to murder them all one by one. For those of you who have kids imagine offing one child by strangulation for about 5mins then moving on to another child.

What's next? Should we let terrorists out and about free to roam too because they are mentally ill and misunderstood who perhaps were easily manipulated to join an organization? When does that kinda insanity stop? And wasn't Kim K at one point going around saying the Mendaz brothers deserve to be out free too? Oh yes lets let them out for killing their parents when the kids had option to move away and start a new life too. No wonder she failed at becoming a legit lawyer. People like that struggle to comprehend something very basic.

Cabbagetown
from wikipedia:

"Lindsay strangled their three children one by one with exercise bands in the basement. She then attempted suicide by cutting her wrists and neck and jumping from a second-story window.Lindsay sustained spinal cord injuries from the fall and was hospitalized; she remains paralyzed from the waist down as of 2026.".

It doesn't look like they're going to convict her of murder, but I don't think she's going to walk.

They should tell all the jury members about Constance Margaret Fisher. That worked out great didn't it? Not...!!!

Mistrial. Apparently 1 jury member wouldn't take into consideration the law when determining a verdict.

I don't understand, they established she killed her children. If she was mentally ill they would've charged her accordingly. What is the jury stuck on?

I'm shocked the judge didn't come down hard on the lonewolf juror. Heavily leaning toward a new juror selection and hopefully that one comes to a decision.

“If postpartum mental illness becomes a get-out-of-jail-free card for murdering your children, then by that logic, anyone diagnosed with it should lose custody of their kids,” - Rep Nancy Mace. I'm sure her truth bomb hurt the feelings of a few moms defending Clancy.

She has apparently very strong insanity evidence and 11 members of the 12-person jury accept that she is innocent based on mental illness.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Defence is asking the judge to cut the 12th jury member loose and acquit.

Imagine if they find her not guilty due to her mental illness. Then in a few years they release her from a hospital. She marries someone else and has 3 more kids and does the same thing very similar to what Fisher did, but with the same man. Then who's to blame? The judge? The system? Overall it's her of course.

That ratio of women to men does not bode well.....
Apparently the one hold-out juror was a male.

He was the only one who wouldn't accept that her mental illness defence qualified for "reasonable doubt".

All the other jurors were ready to acquit.

If she's bipolar and in major depression, kills the kids and jumps out the window and is now paralyzed from the jump, sounds mentally ill to me.
True. Either way needs to be locked up for life in a prison or a hospital with no chance to be out in the public. What happens if she does something similar again? Are we to turn a blind eye again? What if she does it to someone close to you or someone else on here. Hmmm!!

And most folks on terb tend to have a moral compass. Huge difference between pity law breakers and murdering someone especially 3 kids under 5 by strangulation. If someone's high on something or extremely drunk that's still no excuse. When does society judge if 3 kids is a pass to walk free, but blowing up a building like what McVeigh did isn't okay. What if he was a female and under the same mental illness as Clancy?

They charged what they thought they should charge, how would they charge her differently if she was mentally ill?
I wasn't following the case so I don't know what the jury was "stuck" on.

Seems the judge agreed this juror was refusing to use the proper meaning of "reasonable doubt" under the law.
