Like truly dated and been in a relationship with a sex worker?
I'm not talking about sex or having a friends with benefits relationship. Those are so shallow and a dime a dozen , and anyone can do them.
I'm talking about a real relationship with a real emotional connection.
Has anyone successfully been in one of those and is there any advice you would give or any resources you found helpful?
Twice.
In hindsight, I would say they weren't as serious as they seemed to be at the time, but the experience may be relevant.
The first was a couple of years long. We talked about future plans together, went on vacations, stayed at each others places, but I think it was wishful thinking for both of us.
Different life stages, life experiences, world views, etc.
Anyway, it takes two pretty special people to make a relationship work, long-term, when one of them is a sex worker. Especially an in-person sex provider.
Regardless of how long we were together, there always seemed to be those doubts in the background.
Is he just with me for the free sex?
Is she just with me for the things I buy her?
If the guy shows a little jealousy, how much of a problem is that?
If he shows no jealousy, does he really give a shit?
How much of her workday can she talk about?
Telling you about the guy with the micro-penis or the guy who wants her to piss in his mouth is pretty funny.
Even the guy with the huge cock that she couldn't DT is interesting.
But the guy who wants to take her to some exotic place for a week?
Is she hinting at something? Do I have to compete with this guy?
I don't know of any resources for this, but they're probably out there.
I think the best you can do is just keep communicating.
It wasn't that kind of stuff that ended the relationship.
But, in the long run, I'm sure it would have taken a toll.
I don't know if that helps at all.
Good luck.
