Sauble beach vs Wasaga

Sauble is 3 hours from Toronto. Wasaga is 2 hours.

Sauble means over 6 hours of driving Wasaga is 4.

Never been to either, which is better day drive?

I never been to both either, but I hear Sauble is much more beautiful and there's a lot of yahoos at Wasaga. Go to a motel overnight, this way its not a strain.

they’ve both lost their charm that they once had. Wasaga recently tore down all the beach shops and the one good bar to make way for condos. If I’m not mistaken beach drive (the road along the beach and shops is closed now? Unfortunately even before that, the beach was over run with disrespectful 💩 guests that have been ever increasing

Sauble is far far nicer, still has its beach vib, I believe the taco bus is still there and some of the old shops. However it has a much more family vibe. I’m not sure that you are still allowed to drive and park on the beach because it just got too busy, like everything. It too is very over run with guests. Not like it used to be.

honestly I definitely wouldn’t drive 2 hours each way to visit Wasaga. I’d probably still do the 3 hours to Sauble if I had nothing better to do.

Why not leave TO on Friday night. Stay in hotel along the way or there.
Saturday Wasaga, then leave Sunday at 600 am for Sauble.
Return 4pm from Sauble to TO.

Easy.

It’s also not called Sauble anymore and no you can’t drive on the beach unless you’re one of those with rights to the land and have an atv

It's been a long time since I've been to either, but imo, it just depends what you want and are looking for. It's like do you want to go to a small town, or the city?

I personally like Wasaga I have been there twice last year 😊

If you do go to Wasaga I suggest trying this place out the food is amazing 🤤

Wasaga used to be party central, many fond memories and most I can't remember. Sauble Beach the water is colder with a lot less piss. The farmer's market near Southampton is amazing, farm fresh produce you cannot get in supermarkets.

We used to fish for our dinners out of the Saugeen River.

I was there - last time - in the winter after a snow fall. It was a beautiful view.
