Absolutely, but you may have the cart before the horse. I think men seek paid companionship because they are lonely and they aren't getting the intimacy that they once did at home. And this is not to say that I'm blaming our SOs only. Relationships age. Kids happen. Tits sag. We grow beer bellies.
I also think it's possible to still love your partner, while seeing paid companions. I've seen threads here where an argument is being made that seeing a companion can SAVE a marriage, because the alternative is probably an affair. Those get messy fast. With companions, we pay, we have a blast and we leave, knowing that that gorgeous woman isn't going to go all Fatal Attraction on us.
But to address your comment, the dude who is constantly rejected will just stop trying to be intimate with his partner when he knows that two text messages and a stop at the ATM can put him in the arms of a beautiful women, probably much younger and who is paid to be intimate. The good ones make it seem like it's real, but we know it isn't. I've been at this for decades and while I am no longer married, that's not because I was seeing paid ladies. In fact seeing them probably allowed me to stay married for many years longer than I would have.
