Anyone sick of dating apps and just stick with Escorts?

So I have a lot of mixed feelings about dating apps. I can confidently say that I’m a catch. Except for my age, I fit the desirability metric for most women. Now I actually have met some really great women in dating apps and has sex with them but in the end it’s all drama and indecision. Part of the issue is that most women either want a family or need a stand in father for their kids. This is a NO GO zone for me. Most women are also not realistic with the general expectations of what to expect when dating. They use phrases like “ date with intention”. LOL. Like I know what it means but can’t people just take it slow at first. LOL. Here are my other favorite turn offs.
- photos of them with their kids. (Sorry that’s not a good opener)
- when they say , “family is the most important thing”. (Not that it’s not important. It’s that saying gives the impression that a new one on one relationship will be second priority).
- pics with dogs or cats (again, the only pussy I want to pet is the one …..)
- pics of them with 4 other women on a girls night out. (Firstly, I don’t know which one you are and I’ll probably think your friends are hotter anyway. LOL)
- when a profile describes how busy you are all the time. ( so basically you’re saying you have no time for dating).

Bottom line is that there are good women out there. But they are far from perfect and many have complicated lives. Men in mid life don’t want the hassles. Sorry ladies. Unfortunately that’s a brutal truth.

I said matches and dates. Progressing towards a gf is a completely different problem and has nothing to do with the apps.

Is a complete disaster. Then there’s videos trashing those videos because the women are so entitled and unrealistic in their expectations. Women are hitting the Wall. I’m sure many have seen these.

As a guy in his late 50s I'll tell you it doesn't get any easier. The apps suck. I've had some success going to speed dating events. At least there you actually get to meet women face to face. But sadly the effort level of women is pathetic.

You must have no zero game, because you can meet women all day long through common interests. Street picks up are for sure difficult but if you take a fucking archery course, or nature walks, or food classes, you can meet lots of women. Wherever there are intersections that are not about dating but something else, you'll find lots of friendly women.

Yep, this is what happened to me.

I used to use Lavalife during the Golden Age of online dating -- about 2000 to 2010 -- and that was the best place ever for hookups. Literally, I would go on Lavalife after dinner on a Friday if I felt the urge for sex, and probably at least 4 or 5 times out of 10 I could find a date for the evening who was looking fot the same thing.

Granted, I'm 20 years older now, and the pickings in my age group are now more slim, but even the women I do match with on Tinder or Hinge or Bumble never seem to want to take it to the next step and actually meet.

The apps dont work anymore. There was a in between time where I was picking up girls from there like every week and banging them. 15 years ago mabye now. It was a few years during the pof.com and facebook early times. Its all dead now. I tried again a few times its completely dead. I think its moved on to IG where all the girls go after top 10% of guys or something like that.

Go cold approach woman. I am married but me and my friend go out and just talk to girls and get numbers. I feel so good afterwards. Most of the time its a no. But it still feels good because it takes courage to do that over and over and take rejection and you start feeling really good. And sometimes you get a hit.

I enjoy escorts once in a while while in a relationship. But I remember when I was single and banging a lot of civvies, I felt empty after a while and got depressed.


None of these replaces the other. They are all different things and meet different needs of a person.

I have to politely disagree with those saying the apps don't work anymore. Perhaps they don't work as well as they used to or they don't work for random hookups?

It was a learning curve in terms of how to make a profile, what pictures women look for etc, and also I have been working out and working on my appearance at the same time and updating my pics every so often

It started out with getting likes from women that I was not attracted to, with the odd woman I considered attractive in there.

As time has gone on, and mind you I am not a major prize or anything, still 30 lbs to go on my journey, comfortable but not rich, I find the attractiveness of the women in am getting likes from has increased to the point where I sometimes have 2-3 solid dating prospects I am either seeing or chatting with.

I could have a date with an attractive woman pretty much every week if I wanted to. Right now I am in new territory about to go on date #3 with a really nice woman I met a few weeks ago on Bumble.

I also have a FWB I met on Feeld but she's been hard to see lately might be petering out

Anyways my point is at 54 I am feeling for the first time in my life like I have many options. This period is the best for dating it's ever been in my life.

If it's not working for you maybe try to see if you can improve yourself, improve your profile, or improve your outlook.

I think some guys have just given up and decided to be bitter and expect women to throw themselves at them.

You gotta play the game if you want to win.

I think the issue with most men is that they obsess over one woman, like they are a prize to be won.

That's wrong and women can smell that shit from a mile away.

There are millions of women out there and thousands that are down for you at any given time.

Shoot your shot always, but dont linger if you miss. There is always the next one right around the corner.

A lot of young guys don't have an abundance mindset and that is the problem. There's literally thousands of woman who will have sex with you for genuine connection, and even more for money.
