I mean, too little too late; but looks like PP isn't long for this world, politically speaking.

This also explains why my MP is leaning into the Covid conspiracies. I'll bet he's looking to up his national profile to take a run at leadership:

Trump is killing populist candidates as national leaders. Canada especially doesn't have much patience for this, during down times. We elect little grey men during troubled times.

The CPP needs, if it wants to be elected, to eliminate the cultural politics.

How anyone can support that toxic hate machine is beyond me.

how you supported the moron Justin Trudeau for a decade is beyond me.
Trudeau, even with his flaws, did not sell hate or division like PP who tries to be Maple Trump, because hate is his best and only path to power. Given the choices at the time, Trudeau was still head and shoulders above the morons like Mailroom Andy that Cons spewed up as pretenders to the throne. The fact that mailroom Andy still is allowed to vomit his BS shows the party cannot attract talent. Erin O'Toole was actually non-terrible but he was promptly backstabbed by his own party of fools when he tried to broaden the tent.

He literally admitted on a French language podcast that calling half the country far right was good for the Liberal brand. Please take your head out of your butthole.

Pierre is a good and decent man, but Trump KO'ed him and he lost his chance. He'll never win.

I have learned that I was right and people like you are just whiners with no solutions like Trump and PP. You actually think Canada can go back to the 70s 🤣🤣🤣 That world does not exist and nothing can bring it back.
I mean, you could bring it back, but you'd have to:

1: Majorly overhaul tax brackets and increase the top marginal tax rates.
2: Enforce antitrust laws and break up major corporate conglomorates.
3: Make union membership mandatory for corpos above a certain revenue threshold.
4: Heavily fund the public broadcaster so as to re-establish a national identity.
5: Renew federal subsidies for housing.

That'd be a start. But we'd need the rugged individualists among us to remember the warm embrace of collectivism.

Typical liberal mentality. Rose colored glasses.
You just can't adapt. Regressive Conservative. Never in my life did I think I could drive a car with ZERO fuel expense. Now I have had it for 8 years. That amazes me. People that don't adapt to new opportunities just get left behind. Under Trudeau I made enough money to buy a second home in South America. I hope Carney makes Canada mode independent. But I am a pragmatist. The USA is the giant next door and its a vicious predator. While I hope Canada can become more independent of the giant next door, its not worth getting Ukrained for that. I would rather be a semi vassal then a smoking ruin.

Conservatives don't like electric cars, lol?

Trudeau was a disaster on productivity, per-capita growth, and housing affordability. Per person GDP was terrible.

I'm glad Carney is an adult. The man child almost ruined the country.

And with a (un)healthy case of TDS to boot! (y) Good for you kid, keep your head where the sun don't shine, I'm sure you enjoy it there.
Its not Trump that made me feel this way, I have felt it for a long time. Dubya was horrific, O'bomber TERRIBLE then Trump 1 yuck, Biden ABYSMAL and now here we are. If you think Trump is an aberration to the norm, you may be right, but he is not much of an aberration. They are all the same, Trump is just reality unfiltered.

Biggest mistake they've done is take up cultural politics like that. Most conservatives do not want to be lumped in with American republicans and it's costing them big time when they keep chasing it.
