It felt fun to collect.Do "limited edition circulation coins" appreciate significantly in value over time?
Or is it just basically fun to collect them, hence why you spend the duplicates?

Forgot this but I learned from my dad to always keep your bills in your front pocket. If your wallet gets pick pocketed you have options.I started doing cell phone wallet this year after hearing it from my kids.
So convenient and secured behind your screen pin or finger print. E-mails me the transaction right away. Still paranoid though as I only attach a credit card with a smaller limit.
I keep a penny in my change pouch in my wallet for luck. You might see a toonie in there too. A few folded small bills under 100 total. One of my favourite restraunts accepts cash only.
I have my wallet and phone in my right back pocket. When I’m out walking in a crowd, I hook my thumb onto the wallet and phone, I’ll feel it if anyone dares to pick pocket me.And I learned some guys are not carrying wallets anymore. Just the cell phone that's it. Might start doing this as it's a pain in the ass when your wallet goes missing![]()
I would worry abut my phone de-magnetizing the plastic in my wallet.I have my wallet and phone in my right back pocket. When I’m out walking in a crowd, I hook my thumb onto the wallet and phone, I’ll feel it if anyone dares to pick pocket me.

Yup. Exact same here usually in 20's or some manner of low denomination for ease of use.Around $100. Just in case, for emergency taxis, etc
Wait clients ask for change lolI typically carry around $100–$200 in my wallet at all times, just in case I need to give a client change
I also keep a $100 emergency bill tucked behind my phone case at all times this has saved me so much times in the past

That said, I had to replace my Scotia Scene+ Amex card recently for the reason you described, but only once in about 3 years.
Perhaps it depends on which card manufacturer your financial institution uses...
