Who am I?
I did not attend High School nor University in Canada or the United States.
I was signed as an amateur free agent less than a month after my 20th birthday.
I stole 20 or more bases in each of my first eight Major League seasons, including three consecutive seasons in which I both averaged 50+ Stolen Bases AND I led my League in being caught stealing.
I hit 17 of my 36 career Home Runs during my final two seasons in the Majors, following two years spent playing professionally in Mexico.
I played in four World Series for three different teams in three different decades, (winning twice). My last Major League game played was in game 3 of a World Series in the year when I won my second Championship ring. I continued to play professionally in Mexico and Caribbean Winter Leagues until age 46, more than ten years after my last Major League game.
I was once one of three Major League players traded in midseason for Rickey Henderson.
I was once sentenced to 60 days in prison after pleading guilty to having had sex with a minor.
