Former Blue Jay Frank Thomas is one of two Major League Baseball players to have had eight consecutive seasons with 100 or more walks.

Who else achieved this feat?

Stump.

As a 30 year old rookie, he tied the Major League Baseball record by appearing in 13 consecutive team games as a relief pitcher.

What's his name?

a) As a Baltimore Oriole, he set records for most consecutive games played, (110), and most consecutive chances, (543), at Shortstop without making an error. The streak ended with the first ball hit to him as a Toronto Blue Jay.

What's his name?

b) Who set a new record during the 2026 season for consecutive games by a Shortstop without making an error?

Two Stumps.

Two Toronto Blue Jays had six hits in one Major League Baseball regular season game.

Name either or both.
I remember Lourdes Gurriel Jr. doing it not too long ago. The other is a complete guess: I'll say Mark Whiten.

Gurriel had six of the Blue Jays' 29 hits in a 28-5 victory at Fenway Park on July 22, 2022.

Boxscore

Whiten is not the other Blue Jay to do this.

Andruw Jones
Nope.

The guy who hold the record was NOT a great fielder. During his record breaking streak, Statcast rated him in the bottom 1% in the major leagues in arm value. During his streak, he had only 9 or 10 assists.

He played in the Major Leagues for 20 seasons. For 12 consecutive seasons, (1993-2004), he played with different or multiple teams (includes off-season and mid-season changes).

What's his name?

A baseball player hits a fly ball into fair territory with a high launch angle, just slightly out of reach of the outfielder's glove. Thinking quickly, the fielder removes his cap to gain a few extra inches of reach, and catches the ball with his cap beyond the top of the outfield wall.

What is the correct umpire's ruling?

Answered correctly by unassuming.

It's a home run, the ball has to be caught in the glove or barehand to be an out.
There was a play recently in which a liner was hit right at the pitcher, the ball was trapped by the pitcher's open shirt and remained there, the batter was awarded a single. That's how I learned of this rule.

Clint Malarchuk.
I’m disappointed that I myself couldn’t get Malarchuk. He was the person that YouTubers referenced a lot when Adam Johnson died in that English hockey league incident and therefore I should’ve remembered the name.
