Strange I could have sworn that they were mentioned on here. If not that is definitely a big oversight. I have the Upstairs at Eric's LP, it's a pure classic.

While "Buffalo Stance" is a great track, it does not qualify as synth pop... Call it funk, alternative dance/hip-hop or whatever, but not synth pop
This drove my co workers crazy whenever I played it on the ghetto blaster!
Yes the poster didn't do a very good search because Yazoo was mentioned twice with both "Situation" and "Don't Go" being posted.
I knew the Grace Jones version but not this one. This is apparently widely considered to be the blueprint for synth pop. I always thought it was Gary Numan's "Cars".
when i was a kid I used to think he was saying warm leather hat it wasn't until just now reading the title that I realized it was not a leather hat at all
