I wish Toronto had an actual 70mm IMAX theatre and not just the digital IMAX. Having to go to Vaughan or Mississauga every time to watch true IMAX is a pain in the butt.
You'll have to wait for The Odyssey IMAX at the Vaughan Colossus. I made the mistake of not reserving my seating, it's still sold out. I'll have to watch it in Standard.

I was waiting for Dominc Sessa to make a film as good as The Holdovers. In Tony, Sessa plays a young Anthony Bourdain. Antonio Banderas as his mentor.

I did a followup on Tony, yes Anthony Bourdain did work as a line cook in Provincetown, starting in 1975. I've been waiting to watch Dominic Sasse in another film since The Holdovers.
Great cast, Antonio Banderas as The Chef and Emilia Jones (Coda) although I don't know her role.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Odyssey, it took me two weeks to get tickets for the 70 mm IMAX. I thought Lupita Nyong'o was excellent as Helen of Troy and fearsome as Clytemnestra. Elliot Page was awesome as Sinon, a character that Nolan created for him. Circe was played by the outstanding character actress Samantha Morton. As to The Critical Drinker's misogynistic comments - may Alex Jones eat his ass.

As part of his cost cutting measures at WB David Zaslav scrapped Coyote vs Acme. That he was willing to use the finished film as a tax write off didn't sit well with the producers. One of them was James Gunn.. The film was picked up by independent Ketchup Entertainment, if they are right Zaslav will have more than egg on his face.

David Zaslav and David Ellison deserve each other. Zaslav would not renew Christopher Nolan contract with WB unless the epic director accepted a clause that his future film would go straight to streaming. Nolan bolted, so far Oppenheimer and The Odyssey has grossed $1.5 billion for Universal Pictures. David Ellison is the clown prince of destruction, more on that later.

The new Resident Evil film is in cinemas next month. It's made by the director who made Weapons and Barbarian two movies I absolutely loved. Really excited for his take on the series.
I saw the film Tony, the Chef who got Anthony Bordain into the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) was named Jose Vatel (Antonio Banderas). In real life Bourdain enrolled in the CIA after several summers working in Provincetown. It's a battle of wills with Banderas teaching Tony how to be chef while Leo Woodall plays the line cook Sal who teaches Bourdain how to be an addict. Not a straight biography with enough factual elements based on Kitchen Confidential.

Here's another I've been waiting for UNABOMBER, Jacob Tremblay's transition into adult films. Produced by Our Pal Rusty for Netflix. I sincerely hope Netflix will open it in theaters.

Now that Daniel Day Lewis has retired, Our Pal Rusty is vying with Nicolas Cage as the most talented male actor working. If Unabomber doesn't get a theatrical release we won't know if Rusty turned a profit from his producing duties.
An update on how much money David Zaslav has lost Warner Bros. Since not extending WB's contract with Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer and The Odyssey have grossed a combined $2.43 billion at the global box office. Now if Coyote vs Acme is a hit, Zaslav will become the centerpiece in a circle jerk.
So many good movies are coming as the weather gets cooler. A new film featuring the outrageously charismatic Renate Reinsve, her list of accomplishments grows ever larger. This is a breakthrough for Sebastian Stan, he finally escapes from the Marvel silliness.
