I don’t think what I’m looking for is that hard to find. the sexy goth, tattooed type or the petite, fun-sized SP. And with an attitude of a mistress borderline PSE vibe rather than a GFE.

Basically in your brain you have an ideal for everything, say a car. You think that if you find a better car, your brain replaces your ideal car with the new one, but it doesn't work that way. Your brain combines the best parts of your current ideal, with the best parts of your new ideal, taking the best of both worlds, but in the process making you want something that doesn't actually exists. As you see more and more cars, the 'perfect' car in your head gets more and more disconnected from reality, until nothing can meet your standards. So no matter what car you choose you will be disappointed.

It happens in a lot of areas to everyone as we get older. The same thing can happen with experiences, with women and hobbying. The more choices, the more experiences, the further away what you want seems to be.

So yes, you aren't crazy, you are becoming more discerning as you get older.
